Norf and the 2011 Doom Cycle

Comrade G63 yes indeed, a civil war between JB, JB Lite and this outrider is the last thing that Norf needs now. Even if they resolve it via a town hall meeting at Oil Drum Lane, it will cost $20k and that will blow the budget, meaning the Eugene will have to reconnect the exercise bikes up to the power generator and organise a 24 x 7 roster, all in the name of 'pre-season conditioning'.

I am starting to think that Norf's four premierships constitute a milestone around their scrawny neck. Norfites on the Bay rhetorically wave around, say, 1999 as it is some sort of talisman. Norf's creditors, such as the infamous Jacques from Xenium, the hard credit experts, don't give a stuff about ancient history - and that is exactly what it is: ancient history. Norfites, memories do not equate to solvency. Sure, you can make fun of the Dogs, their failures in the Premliminary Finals and 1954 as much as you like but again, what has that got to do with the future, where the real battle is to be fought? The raven croaks for Norf, not the Bulldogs.

Risible though they be, SLF's suggestions to sell Norf to the State Government (oh, to be able to quote it on the Bay) or organise a Norf Sausage Sizzle at least betray a recognition that the wolf is at the door again and this time it is a far more ravenous beast.

Biffinator.
Gee you know and write a lot about North.

Why do you care so much about the Roos.

The goings on at Melbourne wouldn't even scratch the surface of my interest and apart from Jack Watts being a wasted pick and Stynes, happily couldn't hold half a conversation about that irrelevant club.

The opposite of rats fleeing a sinking ship is a major issue?

Seems North is the ship to be jumping on, even if taking on the Presidents brother is the only way.

Thats the spirit Spurk

Norf being broke and all but not wanting De Rauch's expertise or heaven forbid "Money"

Where is SLF or Jacko? Are you out there?

One could interpret that JB as trying his best to keep De Rauch as far away from the Norf voters as he can. (True Democracy at its very best)

Speaking of money, shouldn't you be down the bank begging them to wipe out your debts?

I've talked about it where it should be talked about - on our board.

Feel free to link some of my comments and thus enlighten the good denizens of the Bay.

(Anyway, its a storm in a teacup.)

Really? We've delivered profits every year JB jas been in and found cash to rebuild Arden Street.

Also, we've never lost to your rabble while JB has been in place.

Then why are your club searching around the countryside looking for a place to play games, a place that actually wants to see them play games.

Good luck.

BTW how did you raise the money to rebuild Arden Street? Did you borrow or did your fans fund it?

Sydney, Canberra, Gold Coast, Hobart, Ballarat............what can we say other than people want North Melbourne to play in their cities.

BTW, how are Melbourne going in the city we rejected?

Government funding, fans and borrowing.

According to the article, the witness stated that Colin "appeared" to kick her. In other words, the witness couldn't say for certain that Colin definitely kicked her.
Clutching at straws. If Sylvia kicked her bag, why would he threaten to kill the witness?

How's Troy Taylor going? New Years Eve is approaching again, hopefully Troy won't be throwing any firecrackers at people this time.
Troy didn't assault a woman, he belted a full-grown man who was shoving him. See the difference?

This has become a lovely thread :thumbsu:
It was a shit thread to start with.

I'll see that and I'll raise you Carey (on numerous occasions), Anderson, Daniel Motlop and Adam Simpson (how desperate would you have to be to have to stoop to sexually assaulting a frozen chook?)
Lame.

Look at that swollen face, Surely Boomer has been beating her up.

Edit: Been informed that her head always looks like that. Play on.
Classy. Show us your head, or that of your missus, and we'll compare.

Speaking of money, shouldn't you be down the bank begging them to wipe out your debts?
Na, they've done that. And got taxpayers to build them a stadium they "own" and make a fortune off every time they play there. This of course would be totally different to taxpayers funding a stadium in Ballarat and North playing there, or Cranbourne and Berwick ratepayers building a facility for Melbourne to train at.

No, 'ancient history' is a premiership flag that has been carbon dated to the era of imperical currency and pubs closing at 6 o'clock. Like your club's most recent specimen.

Maybe now they're such a financial powerhouse, the Cats ought to do the right thing, and pay the banks the money they morally owe, on the condition that the banks agree to ease the screws on Mr & Mrs Mortgagee just a fraction?

Why don't Norf do the right thing and offer to pay the AFL back all handout given to this Pissant club PLUS Interest. :thumbsu:

Can the AFL retrospectively allocate a balanced draw over the last 15 years or so?? Pea-brain.

You have plenty to say about NMFC, yet you are uncharacteristically silent on Geelong's disgraceful effort in begging the bank to write off their multi-million dollar debt. Is that something you're proud of?

This may surprise you, but you're both right.:thumbsu::)

Now that is lame. But yeah, Dusty would make short work of Sylvia. Better, more consistent footballer already too.
Round 5 this year - 20 disposals, 10 marks, 5 goals. If I were a Richmond supporter, I'd want to wipe that reaming from my memory also.
Trengove - 2nd in this years rising star, Scully - 4th. Couldn't find Dustin Martin anywhere on that list. ;)
