They actually beat St. Leos by 7 points, not Old Geelong.

from the fitzroy website

U/19 (2)
Fitzroy 10.15.75 defeated
Old Geelong 10.8.68 by 7 points
Best (for Fitzroy): coming soon
Goalkickers (for Fitzroy): coming soon

so who did they actually play?

Check the VAFA website, probably more accurate.

Aquinas won out at South Werribee against Westbourne
a good win after being down at half time
just good to play in a win so early in the season after taking so long last year

Therry 30 points
Aquinas 25 points
Westbourne 50+ points
Ivanhoe 30 points

game of the round, Therry v Latrobe, both teams looking promising in the early stages of the season

Any thoughts on how the top 4 will finish?
I think at least 6 teams could make the 4, although, Therry and Old Westborne have nearly secured top 2.

I would have to agree there Damo5, Therry would have to lose some games they really shouldn't to drop out of the top 2. Although Westbourne could still finish out of the top 4 depending on results. Two big games this week with the bloods up against La Trobe and Ivanhoe taking on Westbourne. Results either way could really hurt all 4 of those sides with Old Ivanhoe doing nothing wrong since joining North 2. I think we will be alot closer to knowing the final make up after this week.

Aquinas will beat LT this week, and OW will beat Ivanhoe. There will b a 2 game gap between Aquinas and LT in 3rd and 4th this week, meaning LT and OI sit 4th and 5th on 28 points, with Ivanhoe and Bulleen on 24 points. Come end of year, I think OI might knock LT out of the 4, although i think id prefer LT, OI look dangerous...

Bit of a surprise seeing Ivanhoe beat Westbourne but it just means that there are still 6 teams competing for 4 spots. Although I would have to say that La Trobe's season is close to over after their performance on Saturday. Just simply stopped working for each other after half time. It's amazing how different the quality of some sides changes week to week, whether it be personnel changes I'm not sure but the La Trobe we played on Saturday was a much different side to that which we played earlier in the year.

I would say now 5 teams fighting for 3 spots.
Therry has top spot wrapped up with Fitzroy this week.
Aquinas, Old W and Old I will finish 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

Ballsy by you writing off LTUFC after two convincing wins on the trot, Ivanhoe and then Old Westbourne by 70 odd. LTUFC have been at full strength once this season which no one would know, when they handed out the biggest drubbing of the year to emmaus of 184 points. We knocked off Therry comfortably at the beggnning of the season and when we were down arguably our best player, and go into them this week minus only one player to injury (not a bad feat considering our best 5 players have in total missed 8+5+8+8+2 = 31 games). Look for LTUFC to challenge Therry, especially as no one knows how to play our oval better. my money for theThe top four will be
1. Therry
2. Aquinas
3. LTUFC
4. Old Westbourne
Old Westbourne has a cakewalk to the finals with 2 woeful teams coming up, If LTUFC can beat Therry then there home because fitzroy have barely mastered the drop punt let alone a win. Ivanhoe are as good as gone with aquinas, who is defiantely the team to beat, and then old ivanhoe, who dont have good enough percentage nor deserve it for coming into our comp half way through;

looking at Therry's team list throughout the rounds... they seem to be struggling with numbers...injuries maybe? not a bad effort being on top

and how about that bloke who thought emmaus were going to bounce back against old westbourne? HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA, emmaus st leos are the single worst team i have played against, and ive been playing since u/12s, i reckon they had 0 drop punts for the whole game bar there one good forward.
And i just want everyone to know im writing ivanhoe off after they get destroyed by aquinas there going to have to fluke it to beat old I, and im glad Old Westbourne are going to get in cause lets face it, they havnt won a game away from home

It will be a very intersting run home for Westbourne, Latrobe, Old Ivanhoe, Ivanhoe. Looks like it will definately come down to %%%

Aquinas for me have been the best team haven't really been shaky, even Therry have looked very beatable at times.

Old Ivanhoe even if they do make it couldn't feel good about it.
Next thing they will be allowing Emmaus to drop down to Under 18s

what about league b&f for our div? do we have one of those
Most teams seem to have marquee player

Old Westbourne - Number 3, and 10 goes alright
Emmaus - Number 12 i think he is, no one else would be close to getting a vote
Therry - Hard because of there even spread could really be any of there mids or top scoring fwds
Fitzroy - HAHAHAHAHAH no chance, unless there captain the small guys strung a few good games toghether
Ivanhoe - dont know numbers but their CHF and CHB are impressive
Old Ivanhoe and Manningham havnt been in the league long enogh - but the little red head for manningham, number 1 i think, is a gun, he pretty much single handedly destroyed us
Aquinas - not sure i think they have a good team accross the board but one good fwd too
Bulleen Temp- cant remember
LTUFC - have leagues leading goal kicker whos a good chance,

thoughts?

Therry
Aquinas
Westbourne
Latrobe

Old Ivanhoe : will miss out purely on poor percentage
Ivanhoe : if they do make it, they deserve it as they need to knock off two of the inform teams of the comp

Old Ivanhoe goes to No.15, CHB, think his name is Muller. unfortunately not enough games to win b&f in comp.
LTU is defs Kynan Borthwick. Massive chance for B&F
Agree that Therry is too even.
Not sure about the rest. my moneys on Borthwick.

Therry
Aquinas
Westbourne
Latrobe

Westborne in for sure. will come down to LTU v Therry game this week. If LTU lose, then the winner of OI and I will make it. If LTU win this week, theyre in

And i didnt write of LTU after ur 2 wins, it was before u had started to get back to top form.
