Re: North Central Football League

Fair effort on the ladder.

St Arnaud obviously havent improved their list dramatically however the rest of the league will drop off i think which will increase their chances.
But dont underestimate the impact Bull had on games from his dominance in the ruck. I think some of St arnauds On ball brigade will be found out without the ball being tapped down their throat.

Wedderburns rumours were a fair way off sorry ROC, You got 2 right, Connors and Hutton have left. Both heading to the Ammo's where Connors is assistant coach.

They are the only departures, DeAraugo is staying on!

Shevy is playing at Newbridge

But Wedderburn have picked up an on-baller from the Bendigo Bombers and a Centre Half Back from Bendigo leagues Sandhurst. Rohan McCugh will return home to play if he doesn't get a run at VFL level.

I have also heard a whisper of 3 players from sunshine heading up the calder to become a saveloy! if its true then i'll put the Burn up in the top 3, if false... they will be similar to this year (will test the good sides at times but may lack depth/experience)

Has wyche got a coach yet?

For sure! however i rate Drum pretty high too

Re: North Central Football League

Even if Stu Egan did return to St A surely he would struggle in the seniors?

Any final word on whether Cliff Ryan has left Birchip or not?

Also has Jay Tucker signed on to play for Donald for another season?

Is still capable out of the goalsquare is Egan I think but wouldn't dominate. you'd like to think he could kick 50-60 in a reasonable side which would be handy. Kicking for goal is still superb.

don't think he even kicked 50-60 wen they made the grand final back in 2003

ask MOR, seems to know everything else ;)

Re: North Central Football League

Yeah Drum is good, but not in Bull's league for smarts. only my opinion.
Don't think he'll have as much influence as bull did, and even with bulls dominance the on-ballers struggled to utilise him.

Tucker will leave Donald but hasn't signed anywhere yet, Late mail has him linked to Echuca!

Re: North Central Football League

There hasn't been any talk of putting Round 1 back a few weeks re the lack of rain has there?

Donald will certainly need to recruit a few players to cover the huge exodus of players. Heard that R Brown was training with his brother at Waubra!

Still no word on Cliff Ryan?

Re: North Central Football League

At this stage, we have 4 grounds which should be right for the season (which is realistically all we need) ours is (wait for it) Green! lol....grounds slowly softening up nicely

which grounds would they be??
im tipping donald isnt one of them after being there this w/e!!! wyche's would have to be one of the best grounds going round at the present time, its a pleasure to look at/play on!!

as for a wyche coach MOR, if you do your research you will get an answer ;)

Re: North Central Football League

4 Good Grounds... St Arnaud, Wyche, Boort, Birchip.... ill see charltons wednesday (Trots) and from what i saw last week donald is struggling...Wedderburns is basically abandonned in the off season (Crickets played on the other gnd)

Apparently Wycheproof had a non playing coach on the go that is from Donald but he has pulled out now.
Sounds like a pretty even sort of season is on the cards up there I'll go for a Birchip vs Wedderburn final.

RE: St A and Birchip Grounds...was up at birchip a cpl of weeks ago, ground was in pretty good condition... our ground has been getting water for the last few weeks, and has a rather nice Green cover of grass on it

should go for a wonder up to wyche to see an oval in great condition!!! ideal for cricket at the moment and hopefully will see more than one win next football season!!

And who will lead them to the multiple victories? Are you saying its been named? If so, why the beating around the bush?

It seems as though those Wyche boys always sneak under the radar, keep hearing some good things over that way for the season ahead.

Re: North Central Football League

Stop playing these little guessing games. If you know who wyche have got as coach then tell us, because i'm tired of hearing "good things coming out of wyche" and "flying under the radar" unless there's evidence to suggest it.

Not having a go at anyone, I'm just still eagerly waiting on some concrete signings at Wyche
