Boort vs Kerang, kerang up by a few points after 3/4 when the ressies went on, great hit out with many still away.
bad news from birchip Slagheads match with birchips coach being stretchered off.. pretty sure i heard some one say it was his knee.. not a good start for teh bulls

News from Boort is that they have signed Wally Maxted who will play a centre half forward role.

Was there. Mark fitzgerald took a hangar on him and his knee crumbled. Reco required. Coaching from the sidelines this year.
This is definatly not true Lebron, saw wright runnning around for a team down south called the SMW rovers and he was pretty handy, elite foot skills off the half backline made him stand out.
Might be carrying 1-2kg's but nothin that a bit off light running wont get rid of. I'd say by round 4 he will be back to his ideal playin weight.
Also where was this Wally Maxted Character from, any relation to the Maxted's that have won about 28 flags for Callivil United??? If so he will most likely be a very handy player.
So how did all the practise matches end up from the weekend. I hear Mills kicked 10 in a half running around for huntly. . . . . . . in the 2's mind you. And Derc Lourey may have twinged a string????
Huge loss for the Bulls pretty much there sole recruit goin down before round one.
Any news on St Arnaud??? This site is desperatly missing the wilderbeast of a man "MASTER OF ROC" any chance we can get him back for round 1 or has hung up the keyboard????

I disagree, keeble has almost taken the mantle as the best junior.
has a seniors flag under his belt which is something that not many 18 years can say they have.
Koops is good, but didnt do much last year.

The Wyche Nararport Demons take on the Birchip Watchem bulls. After the Demons last game last year anythings posible. Demons have lost minimal and gained a few key position players a few more clearence to come through this week i would think, and i think the Demons may suprise a few this year. Birchip having a nightmare start to the year with their coach going down with a knee injurie, rumour has it theres a bit of in fighting over there about who they appointed as replacment captain.....
Reigning Preimiers Boort take on the Saints. Both clubs have lost a lot of key personel from last year, but by the looks of clearances Boort have picked up a few players. will be interesting to see how Maxted goes. St Arnaud dont look to have picked up many got a few young locals back which is always good to see.
Royals Vs Navys...Biggest question here is where will it be played?? apparently Charlton are remodeling their ground and Donalds is a touch on the hard side, should be a good game and who i consider the 2 early flag favorite's. Is Liegh Bourke heading back mid year, rumour floating around bendigo that he may be back with Souths if he comes back...
Wedderburn have the bye, have lost quite a bit of personel over the summer months, but picked up Elmore big man Ace Hayse, apparently carrying a shoulder injurie though so lets hope for the Burns sake his body holds up. how is Gashies foot traveling heard early reports that he might miss a fair chunk of the season. depth could be a real issue for the Burn this year having lost the likes of Mills, Polkinghorne and Tonkin

many have tipped young Chris Hargraves as the best junior in the league. he consistantly tears up the wings with his blistering pace and his uncanny ability 2 hit a target within 60m will give opposition sides some real head aches this year. he is is a genuine match winner who can turn a match off his own boot. as long as the burn can keep up with his match payments of 4 pies and 2 cans of coke after every game there should be a feeny medel and a premiership coming his way!
