North fading out

Not if we miss targets and have terrible fwd 50 entries.
Richmond will be hungry as well.
Game is in Hobart though which might suit us since Richmond haven't played here before.

I doubt you'll have any problems against us. We're ****ing putrid right now.

North are a talented side but they are incapable of bringing good tackling pressure week in week out.

Look at what the dogs are doing their willingness to work and pressure the opposition when they don't have the footy is what's made them so good

North will beat Richmond next week, Richmond have North covered in the downhill skiing stakes. A bit of pressure applied to the tigers and its all over. But on the same token, North aren't a team of stars so they can't rely on a couple of players to pull them over the line if their workrate is sub-standard.

North will finish 7th or 8th this year and get thrashed in the elimination final.

For what it's worth, I do think there is some validity to this thread.

Regardless, resorting to attacking the other poster's team is essentially saying, "I have no arugment, please don't hurt me."

Feel free to call the thread stupid if you feel that way, fellow North fans. Just remember to play the ball, and not the man. :)

Yep... It was a pretty simple question I thought. I'm not questioning North's list or credentials... I just think that for a team that is coming off a top 4 finish and will be pushing for another one, getting blown off the scoreboard is pretty strange. And now that it's happened a few times I kinda wonder why it is.

God forbid there's a thread on here about footy I guess. We should be back to talking about Geoff Edelstens latest escort etc.

If only we had one of the best players in the comp to kick into the fwd 50...

Oh wait, we do, and he's playing in the bloody backline. :(

I never thought we could win this years flag. Did anyone?

Most had Port, Hawks and Swans. Freo have now jumped up to be clearly with them. The rest are no chance.

Then, out of interest, which flag IS your target?

You've loaded up with old blokes to add to the ones you already had - time isn't on your side.

Most including myself people think they over achieved last season and that Higgins and Waite are unlikley to improve them from 2014 (plus losing Greenwood). Nothing has changed that, they are not quite a top four side.

This pretty much nails it. I think they "peaked" last year and will be in the 6-10 realm this season.

Tonight we won the clearances, contested possessions, tackles, and hit outs. As we have in most games this year I think. Which means we are getting our hands on it and have the appetite for the contest, so it's not lack of effort.

Our problem mostly has been skill errors, poor decision making and horrible forward entries. Plus we are going through the worst injury trot we've seen for quite a while.

Hi Rod.:)

They were a top 4 side last year, no reason they can't be again.

Makes this trend even stranger I think.

Higgins just turned 27. By adding 2 players we have loaded up?

Not sure we have a flag with this list. I saw 2 live - winning a couple of finals and finishing top 4 was enjoyable last year.

If footy is enjoyable it's not a bad thing. Have a chat to the ess, blues and Bris supporters.

Dal Santo & Wells on the sidelines killed their midfield depth & outside class, especially against Hawthorn who have the deepest midfield in the league.

You can excuse them for losing this one and North will be much stronger once they get the 2 mentioned above plus Waite, Hansen, McDonald & Grima back into the side.

I think it's more that people forgot Hawthorn are still the team to beat just because they lost a couple of close ones. North will be right, better to get the beltings out of the way early on.

Correct. They were walloped by a champion team. it can happen.

North have Richmond next week. Hardly a terrifying prospect. They should pull clear by 30 or 40 and build up confidence.
