FG - you can't use Paxman by itself, you'll get a ban! It's mandatory that the full name, Paxy Paxman, is always used thanks

Well I was happy to give her a gob full whatever her name after her shit kick inside 50 got turned over and rebounded for a goal to us - the one where Kate Shierlaw got on her bike and took off.

ABC commentators just now “wasn’t a ruthless win, just a balanced win”

* me dead. Sucking up the Melbourne koolaid.

* those campaigners.

They got buried
I listened to ABC after the game and all I heard was Brisbane is the best team. We have just demolished last year's premiers. How about we focus on North??? FFS !!!

This may sound bias but I have not seen a better four quarter performance against another flag contender in any of the AFLW seasons played. The girls were simply ruthless. This was such a phenomenal performance and I loved how Melbourne weren't even given a sniff of coming back in the game. If the girls can bring that pressure in the next two games, there is absolutely no reason why they cant lift the premiership cup.

I just don’t see it with Gatt - Stevie Wonder.
She has speed, good endurance and is a clever user of the ball, perhaps still a little light but that's improving with each preseason. She's only 19 and in her second season, but she has doubled all her stats from last season and there is still a lot of improvement to come, she is a very exciting prospect.

Nephew tells me they had more inside 50's, surely not, but he is usually spot on
Yep 35-33. Couldn't breach our defensive wall.

You seem to be on some sort of mission to make the most objectively wrong statements in a 24 hour period.
Absolutely untrue but keep talking down the women's game if that's your thing.

Absolutely packed.

It was an observation on the crowd of that game, a final nonetheless, not a commentary on the womens game. Lighten up.

it's a confusing post but I think he's saying only Stevie Wonder wouldn't see it.

I know it's unfashionable around these parts but perhaps a little credit to the coach for the tactical adjustments and mindset of the players for this game. Somebody as old as me referred to the Hawthorn preliminary final in 1977 as an example of a game where we were given no chance due to a very recent trouncing against the same opposition. But the master coach Barassi swung a few surprises and it turned the season on its head. I don't expect Crock to get quite the same plaudits, but he produced a similar turnaround.

Okay so now do a shot of a game played at Kardinia Park. They have clearly isolated the crowd to the broadcast wing. Just as they do in Geelong.

We have a lopsided and problematic fixture due to limited rounds of football in AFLW and that will only change with crowds increasing. The game really doesn't need constant attacks over crowd sizes even if they are attempts at humour.

Surprised to hear anyone shitting on Tess Craven. Thought she was really, really important and a large part of why were able able to get on top early. Those spoils on the wing denied Melbourne their usual easy running F50 entries and left them rattled. Contributed well around the ground too

One post counts as constant?

You seem exceptionally invested in the womens side of the game, with any comment made taken as a personal attack.

The GC is a football black hole, well any sport really.

Great to see so many of the senior boys there but also loved seeing majak in and amongst them with little Hendrix. With his connection to the newly formed Werribee nga surely we would do worse than offer him a vfl role at the club aswell. How amazing would it be to see him back in blue and white

I am exceptionally invested in the women's side of the game and take criticism of it personally, but I am far from alone on that score.

Tess is truly a "proper footballer" in a lot of ways. Not sure how she ranks on old mate Teen Wolf 's scale of natural talent versus hard work but she is so balanced and her kicking, handball and marking has a classical textbook style about it.
