Garner will definitely be in it, given she's the league's best player, which is something I've said for a long time.

Kinda like how you and a few others on here have been saying "this team has gone backwards under Crocker" for a long time.
Yeh I say that all the time. Nice try.

I'm just relieved we overcame the existential threat of Tayla Harris to just sneak over the line.

Randall had a great game yesterday but Teen Wolf is spot on.

As others have noted, once Garner, Riddell, Wright and Ferguson have been included (with Kearney a smoky) in the AA, Randall won't make it.
I'd love for Wright to make the AA team just so we can see nostrils' head explode

You can be relieved, but you can't provide a quote of me saying anything like that. (Daisy Pearce, however, might be a different story. Melbourne once again seem to be losing their way without her!)

Whereas I can provide plenty of quotes of you saying shit like this since Crocker took over:

Randall is no chance unless the selectors let finals performances sway their judgment, which they're not supposed to do.

Zanker, Toogood, Gould, and even Davidson (with one less game) all had better H&A seasons.

Well, as we all know the stat that matters for a key forward is goal assists and our Tahls had more than any of them.

Just listened to the Credit To The Girls podcast. First, Gemma Bastiani said that was the most important win in AFLW history and can set North Melbourne up for an era of success. Second, when they gave their votes on the top three players across all four finals, Jas Garner and Emma Kearney both got votes. And third, Sarah Black said she was spending the following day at Arden St and there would be a behind the scenes feature thing coming up.

Could you imagine how unstoppable we could be if all the girls could learn to kick on their non preferred side like Jaz, Ash, Emma and few of the others..especially after yesterdays demoliton of Melbourne..:fearscream:

The game yesterday has now shown the girls that the self-belief in each other and the game plan works and when on song will beat any team in the competition and that they are the best team by far..No looking back from here....

Driving home today, i heard Brisbane coach, Craig Starcevic being interviewed on SEN, when he was asked about our game, he suggested we copied their tactics to knock off the godees, smug campaigner, look forward to playing them again, hopefully in Grand Final.
Sure, mate, you invented pressure around the ball.

Never really liked him. Can't wait until we beat them in the grand final.

Re-watching the game, the other aspect I don't see mentioned enough is the composure of the back line - they don't walk balls across the line for an opposition point to get the kick in - they fight all the way. There were parts of the game where the ball kept getting bounced in the Melbourne goal square and they didn't concede at any point. It also looked like Rennie was getting sent back to rest rather than forward - is that usual? It worked.

I don't know what anyone else thinks, but since the AFL stopped fixturing games at Princes Park, in my opinion the place has gone downhill with the changes presumably made by the CFC.

The legends and now known as the Heroes stands remain in place, yet were/are pretty terrible places to watch from. I watched a lot of games there back in Fitzroy's time and the old Hawthorn Stand and in front of the Heroes stand, were two of the better places to view games. Now the Hawthorn stand has gone and the best part of in front of the heroes stand has been ruined by changes to the location of the interchange areas. Carlton seems to like building structures that block viewing parts of the ground. Idiots.

The Legends stand is a shocker. It seems such a long way from the action and maybe I've got it wrong but yesterday it seemed that most of the first half was played on the other side of the ground. So I moved over at half time in front of the Heroes Stand, got a much better view of the game, though the girls did start playing a bit more in front of where the Hawthorn stand used to be.

It all happened a long time ago, but when Marvel was built, surely it was a terrible decisions by the AFL to stop fixturing games there. With the creation of the AFLW and hopefully the competition continuing to develop with longer seasons, that ground could have been the centrepiece of the competition. Now its just a mish mash of a viewing experience.
I know a boutique oval right on a new high capacity rail line that would do very nicely as the home mid sized home of AFLW for the next 25 years...

Rennie will normally sit a kick behind the play and then late in a quarter or if our defense in under pressure she and/or Shierlaw will play as an extra tall in our defensive 50. I don't think Rennie got much of a mention after yesterdays game but she was very good as well, saved a definite goal in first quarter and took a few marks at important stages when Melbourne was trying to apply pressure.

Now I'm going to say something contentious. Yesterday's crowd was a little over 5000 and at least half of them were pompously, self satisfied godees supporters. It was a very disappointing number.

How about we all really get behind our girls and turn up in much greater numbers. They are proudly and passionately wearing our jumper and as they go into this PF in a fortnights time, they deserve to have as many of us as possible there, cheering them on.

They are playing for us, they are giving us a huge amount of value for our money and they deserve our greatest level of support. With a bit of luck and a whole heap of hard work, they might deliver to us our 5th Flag in VFL/AFL/AFLW history. How wonderful will that be?
100% this. It will suck tremendously if we are outnumbered in two weeks against an interstate team. And will suck almost as badly if 10,000 North Melbourne supporters turn up to an AFLW game for the first time at the grand final. Get on board now and don't be a theatre crowd band wagon jumper in grand final week.

I’ve been to quite a few games there and I didn’t know you could sit anywhere except in or in front of the legends stand. I assumed it was like Punt Rd and only family and friends of players were allowed to sit on the other side of the ground near the benches (where 90% of the play was yesterday). Is that wrong?

I live in northern NSW :( Otherwise would love too!

Unfortunately H2H, I can't be definitive, but certainly yesterday there were no officials saying, "show us your ticket", plus there were no signs saying you could only sit in the area where your ticket was bought for.

The ticket I bought was for the Legends stand, but it did not mention I had to sit in a specific seat, which I'm pretty sure would have been the case for everyone.

My take on it is that they probably want most people to sit in the Legends stand, because it is really the only genuine stand left. But as I've said before, its a pretty average spot to view the game and I certainly saw much more of the game where I ended up for the second half. I moved at half time on the simple premise of "nothing ventured, nothing gained" and it worked well.

Given that it will be one of two interstate clubs playing us, there shouldn't be a lot of opposition supporters, and probably less than the contingent of godees supporters yesterday.

I would be happy to sit over on the interchange side of the ground next time, but because we won yesterday, I have to sit in exactly the same seat for the prelim and hopefully for the grand final.

The Swanettes have been well supported this season, both home and away, so if they can cause the upset of the decade, you may see a decent number of Bloods supporters at the PF.

Craig Starcevic’s eyes are too close together.

What was it she ranked Jassy again?

28th?
