There is zero chance the AFL would take them if they're traded away.
The amount of celebrating North fans are doing is embarrassing. Embracing mediocrity (or rather something much worse)

Imagine your 2 top pieces of evidence are plainly untrue. We have to go back over a decade since the last big name came to Sydney, despite our attempts, and laughable commentary about the go home factor. The logic and reasoning have been posted so many times before, you lot just refuse to admit it lol, here we go again.
The AFL know and understand if any of the Northern clubs spend years on the bottom of the ladder then their 'fans' will drop off in droves, so the AFL needs to artificially prop them up and keep them successful. It's crucial for the media income that the AFL receives.
Use your club as evidence. Sydney is capable of attracting the best talent and doesn't lose players any more players to the go home factor than any other club in the competition. Therefore, your pathetic excuse just isn't valid.
Everyone knows it, everyone accepts it, no idea why you have to try and convince yourself of this bullshit story about losing players to the 'go home' factor. get your hand off it,
Spot on, your last point in particular shows how flipping stupid they really areThis is an absolute disgrace on so many levels. Seething. Once again the VFL cares nothing for the integrity of the game.
North did this to themselves. Whats the lesson? If you stuff it up, stuff it right up and the AFL will come and bail you out. Stuff it up just a bit and midtable clubs can happily languish there.
The 2024 picks are even more disturbing - they are effectively encouraging North to be awful for next year too. Do too well and you might lose 2x 1st rounders. It's competition-sanctioned tanking.
Getting champed by a Northf supporter, doesn’t get much worse than this.
If they will be reviewed next year noone will swap for them because the picks may disappear.

Also, I didn't bring up the northern academies, why would I, it's not what this thread is about, but people will do anything to distract.
If they're traded this year they will not be reviewed.Who would want them if the Roos jump up the ladder and the AFL decides to get rid of them ?
Are they untouchable if traded? The news doesnt seem to say.
Embarrassing is blowing your draft picks on a bloke who gets 10 touches a game, which has now ruined your chances of drafting a multiple AA ruckman that could actually take you to a flag.Hurh hurh my club is so s**t that they keep getting free stuff from the AFL! eat that, jealous haters!! LOL!
embarrassing stuff.
Surely they can't be traded until next year then...given the potential for reviewIf they're traded this year they will not be reviewed.
The pressure is on. Stuff up these gifts and there is nowhere to run and hide. Is there anyone else left they can blame?Very fair outcome for North, we now have the opportunity to build a very strong draft hand and build strongly over next few years. Despite what many think I and most Nmfc supporters hate being in this position. Unlike last year’s package this one if used correctly gives us a real opportunity to build in an ongoing sense.
Shinboner spirit in full force
What an absolute melt.North folding would be a good outcome for the AFL. This is awful.
Yeah I couldn't understand why a blues supporter would be commenting here after they were given Marc Murphy and Kreuzer as number 1 priority picks + Andrew Walker at number 2Given you're a Carlton supporter commenting in this thread, it was well deserved.
in before Old rules...Yeah I couldn't understand why a blues supporter would be commenting here after they were given Marc Murphy and Kreuzer as number 1 priority picks + Andrew Walker at number 2
They absolutely can be traded this year and if traded they will not be reviewed.Surely they can't be traded until next year then...given the potential for review
