North to go winless in 2024?

Makes no sense. So basically, despite have oodles of salary cap, you let each of Tarrant, Goldstein and mckay basically go for more money?
McKay has been discussed in a separate post.

Goldstein wasn't amount money, it was about the length of the contract. Two years for a 35 year old is a stretch, and let's wait and see if he makes it into next year. Meanwhile, Tristan Xerri has polled coaches votes in five games, the most of any NMFC player, so keeping Goldy would have probably hindered his progress.

Tarrant was 32 when he rejected a two-year deal, having played just 26 games in his previous two seasons with us. He retired half-way through the second year of his time at Richmond with "nothing left in the tank" - direct quote.

So of the three, McKay was partly money, the other two were not about money.

Cheers big e, as opposed to your Grand Final every time you play Essendon. 11 in a row, do nth still do their grand final breakfast ?
Yeah, we do! It's still a great event, actually. I took my dad to it (well, the lunch version) when the actual grand final was here at Optus. We were really looked after by the club, which was nice because he passed away a few months later.

Yes, what a young group really needs is to have their seventh coach in five years. Sounds like a great idea.
if this was the logic north's board followed they would not have sacked noble but here we are.

I’ve been to one, they are cracking events. Swamped these days by every bloody club doing it. Still the original and the best.

A great Bomber man. Known for premierships at Essendon and also known for helping the less fortunate. A great man.
Wow, love that. I didn't know much about him other than his footballing, so I'm glad to hear he was a nice guy.

North should be relocated. They aren’t viable.

Move them to Canberra - add Gold to their colours and be done with it.
Play 2 or 3 “home” games at Marvel.

Then Team 20 can be one of Newcastle, WA3 or Sunshine Coast.
I will never support the idea of North relocating. Nowhere near enough respect is given to a quality historical club.

That surprises me. Call yourself a Roo fan !?!? Nth have a night named after him , every year.

Yeah, he captained and later coached North. Clubs have their Best and Fairest named after former players, or prominent off-field figures.

For example, Essendon has their own a B&F award called the "Crichton Medal", which is named after Wally Crichton (a former administrator at Essendon).

I still can't believe that North Melbourne's only win in the past 32 games cost the Kangaroos Harley Reid.

Mind you, I can't believe how many people are now in favour of tanking.

Fremantle effectively tanked the game against St Kilda in the last round of 2013. They put in their B team and lost by 71 points. No-one made a fuss over that. Maybe North's B team are even better

I cant complain. Dockers somehow won a final in geelong, won a home prelim vs the swans and made the 2013 grand final.

Yes the game can. Even Eddie said it was missed opportunity saving Cellar dwellar clubs instead of saving big clubs like Carlton.

North offer nothing when they are competitve. They already take assistance. Let them dig themselves out and it doesn't matter if they don't.
if Ken Hinkley was Norths coach, you know that North wont go 0-23

Errrr, quite a few complained and the entire fixture was changed a few years later due to the level of complaints.
