Heard at the Lower last night the Panthers are 90k in debt to a local hotel and have little chance of ever being debt free? May have to shut the doors for 2010. Hopefully not tur but from a good source.

Pffffft lol.

You blokes have no idea at all. I think this was in a conversation around 9 months ago.

What's the story with West Preston this season? Can anybody fill me in because they have picked up a heap of new blokes but can't get a win?

Certainly a number of handy players. Too many smalls though (no disrespect).

Anyway girls. Match of the day. Greensborough v Northcote. Gettable for the former. A must for the latter.

A couple of good matches this afternoon, so my thoughts are:
Bundoora, my pre-season grand finalist, should be able to reverse the result from earlier in the season against Montmorency.
An important match for the coachless Northcote Park as they visit the Slime-pit at Greensborough. A must win for the Cougars, but I think the Slime will just get over the line for an upset.
It's by how far, probably a country mile (!), as premiership favourites Heidelberg host the worst team ever in the NFLs Division one in Thomastown.
If they want to stay in contention for a finals berth Lalor must, and should, beat West Preston.
And finally, a team that must also keep winning in North Heidelberg should be too strong for a rejuvinated Eltham.

What was with the Bunnies President at three quarter time getting stuck into a Mont supporter for having a can of beer in their huddle? Doesn't he realise this is suburban footy? Why didn't he have a crack at his own supporters? I'm sure that at least one (and probably more) had a can.

Then to start getting personal was a DISGRACE.

Has not got a too good reputation as a supporter himself!

Anyway must have egg on his face now.

Go Mont!

Go Mont!

He knew what was coming M.O.T.H! Poor form, but i'd expect that from him!

GO the MONT machine!

FUC]{ Yeah! Go Monty!

Wind was shocking which caused a few misjudgements throughout the game. Mont played well in the second half with a few goals in the 3rd and held Bundy to a close score. This allowed Mont to storm home with the wind. 5 goals was a decent margin in the end.

Supporters from both teams were quiet all game. Must have been the cold.

Anyway, good game coming up this week with Mont taking on the dogs at home!

Im sure they don't need to hear from c**k heads like you every week that there doing it hard. From what i hear there having a crack but just not up to it. Maybe they should of thrown the premiership last year and stayed in div 2 and not learnt a thing. Your a dead set tosser champ.

Good Call:)

Major upset. Bulls will be filthy. It would seem highly motivated Mont may be on their way to a GF appearance.

Agree Thomastown will be better for the Div 1 experience.

watched the monty and bundy game and believe bundoora will still make the grand final. bundoora played a bad game and the umpiring was the worst i have ever seen against bundoora. even the commentators on the radio couldnt believe it. with a few good inclusions to come in bundoora should have mont covered. and what is with mont 2's trying to come out and intimidate bundys 2's by whacking a few. obviously didnt work the got smashed.

Mont have about 5 to come back too L12! I do agree with the umpiring, wasn't great from what i saw!

It was interesting to see the scoreline in the W.P V Lalor game on saturday.

Wp had 31 scoring shots to Lalor's 21, yet lost by 25 points.

Obviously wind was a factor as it was at all venues, but have you ever seen such attrocius kicking / scoring in a game before?

I'd imagine Vinnie D would have been wrapped with first qrtr effort of 11 straight behinds

Q1 Q2 Q3 FT
Lalor 0 0 4 3 5 6 11 10 76
W Preston Lakeside 0 11 1 13 3 20 4 27 51

I could not believe the score line when I saw this.

I think Nth Park kicked 8.6 this year in a Praccy game vs Craigieburn who kicked 2.22. 34. But, West Preston's tops the cake.

Spot on KA.Windiest conditions i've seen at Lalor in my time, even thought the scoreboard was going to blow down. You would've thought with Vinnie having previous experience playing on the ground he would've been able to advise players best alternative to goal. However I believe the way that West play(hugging the boundary) they are always gunna struggle to kick goals consistently. Both times we played them this season they have been exactly the same.2 games and their totals were 9 goals 46.

according to my information the bloods had a big decision 2 years ago,it was either VINNIE D or big EASTO.At the time many believe it was a line ball decision with some long standing friendships tested.Lalor stood firm on there decision and now on the way up.
If saturdays west preston game plan was introduced at sydney crescent they would be holding up the laddder

hi 2 all who get on here only new 2 this my tips 4 this round arebundoora heildeberg northcote park north and greensbourgh

geez. been a bit quiet on here this week. maybe everyone is hibernating from the cold weather,
anyhow, my selections for this week:
bundoora, my pre-season grand final selection, should be able to handle eltham for a solid win.
an interesting match at the slime pit. fancy greensborough to get the points against west preston.
premiership favourites heidelberg will be more wary of lalor this time and should comfortable continue their unbeaten run.
montmorency are coming with a charge and north heidleberg always seen to struggle at the sand pit. so a win to montmorency.
northcote park have to just keep winning and probably will be keen for a big win today against thomastown.
keep warm everyone ................
