... Kevin ... I think he has done a great job developing the NFL his time in tenure, yet coz he is the front man, cops more than his fair whack. At least the administration is stable and not corrupt.

Agreed. However, no need to be cagey now ol plastic one.! I think we both know who the time keepers were and the clubs they're from. Can someone with a bit of credibility around here tell us. Was it 3 or 10. F!@k me you blokes are hopeless. If it was 3 forget it. If it was 10 then what can be said that hasn't already.

looking forward to the macleod whittlesea rivalry next year to heat up! either of these 2 teams returning to div 2 in 2012 do we think?

Yep....and I think it starts with W, and ends with SEA.
I personally think North Heidelberg would be the other club in
dangerous territory.

Macleod beat West Preston during the season and they are in the GF ??
Go figure

Don't get ahead of yourself Underbelly. North Heidelberg have never been in Div.2 and we don't have any intention of going down any time soon.

6 goals up against West Preston at 1/4 time the first time around and didn't have the same team on the park again for the rest of the year. Also beat Mont, Bundoora and Eltham. The slime were our undoing along with a stack of injuries.

2011 is another year and we expect to be playing finals as usual!

Good to see people writing Whittlesea off already! With some diligent recruiting I believe we will be competitive at least. Have had a number of good quality players contact the club already. WFC have a very good infrastucture and wont be irresponsible with contract payments. We hope to be in for the long haul not one season of misguided glory!

The NFL must be held accountable, why they have employed nuffies to time keep I think says a lot about the state of this league. Failure to remedy the Bundoora FC would be an absolute disgrace as it's almost certain the result would have been different if not for the added time. Imagine if this had happened in a Grand Final...

Gee your standards aren't too high are they - "At least the administration is stable and not corrupt". I think you will find it was a Macleod nuffer in the timekeepers box on Sat?

If we take the most balanced and forgiving view of this latest debacle....ask yourself, what do you expect from the NFL administration. If the answer is pretty much what we are getting at the moment, then we as supporters and players of the league are at fualt, not the current admin.

If the answer is we expect a whole lot more from them, then they have a lot to answer for this season. Its just a pity they don't have an open, self effacing capability to admit they are wrong and explain their problems....

Confirmed on SEN earlier that after a board meeting this afternoon the result stands and it's all systems go for West vs Heid this Saturday.

I cant believe the outcry isnt bigger than this so far. If i was a bundoora person there is no way i would just cop this on the chin. We all know what 10 mins extra with the wind at preston could mean? If west kicked 3 goals in that extra 8 mins then thats the difference?
Bundoora would have really fancied there chances at 3 qtr time if they were 4 goals down, any team would have!
9 months of effort influenced by a simple timekeeping mistake, not good enough.
Good luck west though!!

There is another NFL time keeping "howler" from this year’s junior GF.All season the Under 15 games are 20 minutes flat and time is kept by the competing clubs. The GF is the only time the NFL are in charge of the siren. The GF is 20 min plus time on for goals and major injury delays.Yep, you guessed it, after flawless time keeping all season the Under 15 Green GF first quarter went for 15 minutes! The second quarter then (correctly) went for 15before q3 & q4 went for around 25/26 each.

I don't think anyone has intentions of going down to D2, but the question was asked and I'm obviously going to be biased towards Macleod, it's a no brainer to look at Whittlsea and the team that tapered off towards the end of this season, North Heidelberg

If it was the Macleod person that usually does the time-keeping......oh dear.........screw it.....he is a nuffy ! I'm not offering my apologies for his incompetencies. However, there are 2 time keepers, so he is not entirely to blame.

A public apology was mentioned on SEN yesterday - an admission of fault by the NFL along with an explanation of what eventuated. I'm tipping the 3 minuted 40 seconds lost happened when he went for a smoko and a piss.

Bigger issues in life if you ask me

No drama's - good to see a bit of fight in the old dog, other than the final round this year when you rolled over in your own paddock :D
Having played a bit of cricket with Rudy at Macleod and with the obvious connections between the 2 clubs, I hope we can build on a rivalry for years to come.

Didn't we go to the USA together back in 2004 ? Just a hunch Raymond

Brodie Holland is also rumoured to be leading St Marys next year so says commitee members of theres.

Rumour comming from the EDFL is that Brodie Holland and Heath Ayres have signed with Heidelberg for 2011

Ha, ha, ha Folks Brodie Holland, Chris Stewart and Josh Jones will be playing for Maribyrnong Park in 2011. Back to Back permiers in 2010, three-peat in 2011

Go Marby!!!

Collinwood ending geelong's reign last night and who would have thought west preston after copping a 88 point thumping only 2 weeks ago would end heidelbergs reign. did not see that one coming
