Well we're getting reasonably close so might as well have a crack. I will preface this by saying i have little real idea about the league, just what you hear and read.

Premier
Premiers: Noble Park
Relegated: Vermont, Doncaster

Div 1
Premiers: South Belgrave
Relegated: Lilydale, Mooroolbark

Div 2
Premiers: Templestowe
Relegated: The Basin, Knox

Div 3
Premiers: Coldstream
Relegated: Oakleigh District

Div 4
Premiers: Kilsyth
Spoon: Nunawading

- Noble have strengthened again. Only an enormous injury plague can stop them imho

- Yep... Vermont. Ok probably won't happen but if it's ever going to, I think this would be the year. Double relegation, they finished 9th last year, not sure they've picked up a heap and they have an inexperienced coach. I can see the year getting away from them.

- D1 pretty even without ER and can see South Belgrave's star power taking them straight to the top as it did in D2. Tim Smith is phenomenal. Big trouble at Mooroolbark.

- D2 incredibly even. Apart from the The Basin and Knox I can just about see any team winning it. Heaps of big recruits in this division and I think Waverley will go very well first up - East Burwood did, and WB are probably a better side.

- D3... Oakleigh were barely D4 standard last year (playing in D2), it's a massive job for a first-time coach let alone one who has to play and he can't kick it to himself. Their recruits look to be all from Glen Wav - the very players who got them relegated from D3 last year and then celebrated by walking out and killing the club. They put up a post last week basically celebrating the fact that they actually had 40 players on the track. Another long year ahead

- D4 looks pretty even. Kilsyth seem to have picked up a few.

Let's see yours
You are spot on,you know little about this league, lol. But 10 out of 10 you had a try.Vermont relegated perhaps some hope.Perhaps come back and have another go after practice matches.Again ask the question what club or league do you follow.D1 like your call,no mention of the sleeping giant of the EFNL.D2 Do not write off Ringwood,a very well run club and ready to take the next step.D4 Nunawading, have done a lot of work to get rid of there debt and expect a improvement. Now surely no mention of East Burwood to please the 3 people that post on this site.Doncaster you have relegated but pleasing news I hear they will be fielding a U19 side next year PS Bob,I get all my info from Doncaster from Level Nuts.

PS Now to Cliff who you have a go at me for deleting posts the next day because of no reply from any one.As I have told you I do not post on here any more because of lack of posters, looking forward to the next 18 hours, lol.

G’day Bunk I think you know a bit more about EFL footy than some give you credit for. Will bow to your good judgement in regard to higher divisions. I’m a Div 3 follower and believe Warrandyte might be the faves atm. Young bloke from Glen Wav gone to OD named Connor Cochrane goes really well but most of the rest from GW are average. Might depend on how their coach goes. Donvale a threat with Murphy. Coldly picked up a few from Oefl so not sure. I’ve rated Whitehorse for the last couple of years. Silvan might suffer with depth. 😊

I guess I follow the EFL from a distance but that’s about it. I was involved in a club but we’re talking some 20+ years ago and that club is a very different place now, I don’t know anybody there. As I said I don’t know much apart from what you read on social media and hear around the traps, I know a few people at a few clubs.

Ringwood have been up there for many years so yes you’d think that won’t change. Vermont I guess won’t happen, was half a joke, but who knows. As above I’m told they had injuries last year, that’s the sort of thing I wouldn’t know.

Where are your predictions, get on with it

Nice review Bunk although your view on The Basin being relegated I think is well off the mark. They will be thereabouts again with some really exciting young players and an excellent coaching staff.

And Vermont being relegated. Now that totally shatters any credibility. I don’t like them either but they will not be relegated.

There’s no doubt plenty in it off the mark!

Time will tell, just a bit of fun

Well being one of the 3 EB Posters I will go.
Premier, Bulls to go Back to back, Bezza out, and one to watch is Balwyn.
Div 1 South Belgrave Premiers, Lilydale out, and the one to watch is South Belgrave.
Div 2 Ringwood Premiers, Knox out, and the one to watch is Mulgrave.
Div 3 Donvale Premiers, Fairpark out, and the one to watch is Oakleigh.
Div 4 Surrey Park Premiers, one to watch is Chirnside Park.

I agree that Oakleigh won’t be as bad as some are saying. Recruited well.

Who have they recruited besides the GW crew?

Well their coach will probably be the best player in the division, but they’ve also added:

Bozanich (could win the goal kicking).

Trait - NAB league experience

Warne - played wafl colts and reserves

Prest- good midfielder returning senior player

Nicholas - returning senior player

I think people quickly forget good Mitch Potts is too (Glen Wav).

I am a true believer in culture whether it's a club or business. I believe the culture at Oakleigh is worth grabbing a hold of. Now GW players heading to Oakleigh will adjust to their culture which to me is a very proud culture and those recruited will absorb that culture. It's no different than any workplace with a quality culture, you fit in your out. Some of their recruits are a great addition and their coach comes from a solid football culture. In saying that if you observed how they handled themselves last year despite being flogged week in and week out you have to admire them. Don't underestimate their culture.

Good luck to the coach, I’d say he’s the only thing Oakleigh has going for it, he’s obviously a first time coach with an enormous job ahead of him. It’s a whole club rebuild. They haven’t won a game in over a year, and the only reason they’ve seeked out / let the GW players in is because they need the numbers to survive. This group got GW relegated and their response to that was to all walk out.

It’s a situation of necessity, not choice.

It’s a hell of a job and I’d be fearing for him. Plenty of good players make terrible coaches - it’s more about your personality and brains than your ability - but this is more than a coaching job, and if he can actually coach he might not get the chance to show it because he’s not in a strong environment.

I don’t know who he has brought with him but it’s a five year job for a good solid team of people.

He’s a very brave bloke taking on that as his first job.

I put them as the ones to watch for various reasons. It's going to be interesting.

GMac, I never made fun of you deleting posts the next day. I made fun of you deleting posts before anyone had a chance to see them.
I will also add the Rams should go OK considering that last year half the side was made up of the previous years U19's. Those U19 players will only be better this year. We lost 2 good players, but have gained a number of good players with some size to them which was something we lacked last year.
PS. One of those U19 players is now the Vice Captain.

Off the subject cricket wise both East Burwood and Forest Hill cricket clubs could not field junior cricket sides this season.Ask the question junior wise do both football clubs have a similar problems junior wise.

We got a large number of kids from Forest Hill and are doing well for all junior sides (U17 downwards).

So you are talking football and that club could be in trouble footy wise.Merger cricket wise perhaps has to happen with a few sides in that area especially cricket.
Who really knows the reason for kids changing clubs. It can obviously be because a club can't get a full side together, it can be a kid with a lot of friends who changes clubs and gets his mates to follow or it can be caused by something completely unexpected, like the kids from FTG who ended up at your club a couple of years ago. It doesn't mean a club is in trouble because kids leave, that's an awful lot to surmise from a short reply to your question
