Josh Tollner (player from Wy Yung) ironically is schubacks cousin. Has similar skill set but more of a midfielder.
Rowan Bell has been a good junior for years must be a good kid too because was used as a tagger against Heyfield.

Oh ok that is putting a dampener on it, they have definately improved and it sounds bad because we lost but they did beat a fairly weakened and match unfit Heyfield side. But a win is a win and they are still unbeaten.

Searching for hope at this early stage Nugget? lol. Cant remember who beat Heyfield early last year but they have been beaten pretty comfortably by the top 3 teams this year. The biggest drop off I see with the Roos compared to last year is the scoring, dropped by almost 30 points a game. Not having a settled side hasnt helped, almost unrecognizable a couple of times, so your right in that its to early to read much into it. Winky in the magoos last week? Whats cookin there?

Sale will win this week. I have no doubt.

Boisdale-Briagolong and Woodside quite easily 6 goals on each occasion.

Wink played two's because he had missed a couple of games. Will be in line to play seniors this week. A vital player to our side.

The side we have out there is as good as any that have been put on the park for Heyfield on paper, we are missing Stevo. Pretty much not playing the first third of the season through injury has hurt alot. His inclusion will be massive, the presence he brings is enormous. The football hasn't been settled at all with loads of changes in personell, team selection, injuries etc not enabling us to be giving ourselves the best chance or the players the best start to the season.

Having said that we do have a side that will get the job done, we are young and fairly new to each other. The problem is we are running out of time, some players will be having there second, third game for the year which is good so I am sure the excuses I have will only go so far. The time is now.

I won't be there on saturday but when I ring through for results I will have a fair indication of where we are at.

Sale City were superb on Saturday, disappointed with the Cougars lack of fight to be honest and only thing to come out of the game were injuries to a couple of key players wich will be telling in next few games.

Schuey set it up in first quarter and was surprised he were not named in the best as he was the difference when game was still a contest for first quarter and a bit.

Maybe a defining round for the year when you look at the results for the weekend with Gormandale getting over Glen and Rosedale beating Heyfield.

whats your excuses this week nugget??????????????

Gormandale over Rosedale 10 points
Cowwarr over TTU 29 points
Glengarry over Churchill 8 points
Boisdale over Woodside 24 points
Sale City over Stratford 81 points
And Heyfield should take the points from the bye.

Shannon Edwards should be out of action for at least a month of footy through his savage headbutt on Galea of rosedale..

Glen were not what I expected to be honest, got belted in the midfield, but the Cougars did respond after the pathetic effort the week before.

Sale at this stage have got a gap on the rest but havent had a lot of injuries so far, this could be the only thing to slow them down or a punch up in the social rooms!

Monster round this week with teams like Rosedale and Heyfield really having to win or it could be just about curtains from a top 3 perspective or even a finals berth. Who would have thought that!

Cougars again torched by pace and failure to convert simple chances. Rosedale are not bad but how they have lost some games to teams they shoudnt have is beyond me. Other results pretty comprehensive, Heyfield looked on paper as strong as they have all year. Dont know if anyone has had much of a chance but get along and watch some thirds action, probably some of the best quality junior bunch getting around in the league for a long long time. Most teams I have seen have several players that will be genuine senior players in the next 2 years, all good for the league moving forward.

The roos got back on track with there first four quarter effort of the year. Best side on paper yeah perhaps, but the difference is in the group intent. The standard is set now within, it is now up to the group to stay injury free and continue this form for the rest of the year. Its always a good sign for the club when you have five senior premiership players playing seconds.

TTU were quite hard at the football and tried all day, young hally for them was there best by a mile even though Shaun Humphries and Jake Shingles did well against him.

i know the standard has been set but not sure how it's up to the group to stay injury free, i wouldn't of thought they go out to get injured and not play???

You are a knob you know what I meant.

But it is the groups responsibility to ensure they prepare themselves properly to lessen the risk of injuries during training/games.

i'm not sure im the knob, does that mean Nick Reiwoldt didnt prepare properly before he done his hamstring, can you explain what your expecting the roo boys to do, so they prepare properly???

If we are getting technical about everyone writing correctly, did Nick Reiwoldt "done" his hamstring, or did he "do" his hamstring?

I know what you are thinking, why would I bother to pull you up on a stupid little error like that. Well, you well may want to consider why you would bother pulling up Nugget on a comment like his.

i'm not pulling him up mayhem, i just don't understand what he's talking about, it's country footy, i'm guessing he's talking about getting the boys of the beers on a friday night or something, but im not sure, thats why i'm asking him to try and explain and i'm not sure how they can stop injuries
sorry mayhem, i didnt know i'm not aloud to ask nugget any questions without asking you first???????????
