Re: Nwfa

Disappointing what happened sunday with a few cowardly acts that happened in both seniors & 2nds. Hasn't been the norm all year & only happened from sides that were well down & didn't look like winning. NWFA need 2 launch investigation into incidents that happened so as competition doesn't get bad reputation because of a few low lifes who take their frustrations on unsuspecting victims.

Who were the players involved in the Kane Doody incident?

Re: Nwfa

Obviously nobody according to the umpires !
Was very, very behind play i was sitting right there and didnt see a thing, but they had been pushing and shoving before hand, Medcraft and Doody.
If the umpire doesnt see it what can you do, cant use video evidence, now they have 3rd umpire sitting on side line for finals.

Unlike Medcraft to hit someone LOL, slug guard tooth print still in his fist.

Re: Nwfa

where do you think west ulv stand now

They did better than anyone thought but they need to stay serious and keep recruiting if they want to stay in the top five for next year.
A couple of there better recruits didn't step up this season and i hope Toddy continues with them.

Re: Nwfa

Preston Reserves and Seniors in this weekends grand final, any body got thoughts on the outcomes of both games.

Preston for Reserves, wont be easy
Preston for Seniors, will be a good hard game of footy

Re: Nwfa

Any Truth in the rumour that Forth are keen to chat to Luke Marshell and Shaun Conkie about Co- Coaching the Magpies next year? if Ulverstone goes Statewide. These two time Priemership players from Ulverstone would be a great pick up for the Pies and would no doubt could bring players like Justin SMith, Josh Horton, Jeremy Soden as Forth donrt mind dishing out the coin?

Adam Flannery already signed 4 next year @ forth so expect them 2 be pretty active in the off season after such poor year. Have heard that east ulv more than interested in soden & offered him deal. Don't expect 2 many to leave ulv as most have committed 2 next year.

Re: Nwfa

Where did Luke start? I thought he had been a RObin all his life. I think Marshall has been a greatn mplayer for Ulverstone but he must be pushing on now? Maybe he shouldgo earn some $$ in the bush b4 he retires. Good way to leave the Robins. Two time P - Ship player and best and fairest. Owes the club nothing. As for Shaun, a mate of mine id good friends with him and asked him wht he was doin with footy next year. He said he reckons he wont play but if he does play and or coach it will be with Ulverstone.

Re: Nwfa

All things pretty quite on footy front @ the moment. Did notice that most senior jobs been advertised except 4 east & forth. Any whispers around on who likely 2 get these positions? Any player movements also?

Dual premiership coach Daniel Freshney will play with Devonport next year along with Clinton Viney. Devonport are also hoping to entice Josh Holland along also. 3 very handy pickups for the pies. Matthews has thrown the towel in at Spreyton and Lowe will take over. Good to see Flannery stay at Forth and take up the challange of getting them back up the ladder. Thats a sign of a strong character.

Freshney and Viney signed with Devonport last night Holland going back to latrobe so he must still like being a big fish in a little bowl

good to see Flan stay out there he has a good relationship with the boys even though the results were not there, they will improve in 2010

Skidmore too Natone?????????

Re: Nwfa

Natone must have plenty of money up there? keeping players they recruited last year & still on the hunt 4 more?

I would've thought skiddy would play just for the love of the game?? Plus hasn't he got mate's up there?? He went and watched a few games last year at Natone plus I thought I seen him there during the finals.:thumbsu::thumbsu::):D

Here here about Holland. Big fish little pond has always been his way. I mean, he has only managed to prove himself at Senior Statewide level when he was 16, played for Tasmania at Junior and Senior level, played Senioor footy in the QAFL and made the QLD State Squad in 2003. As you can see, has always tried to be the big fish in a small pond . . . .

Agree totally absolute star in any competition & vale won't b same side without him. Latrobe or Dev would b much better side with him in it. NWFA loses 1 of their major drawcards if he does leave. Tho evey other side b happy if he does.

Each to their own, we would love him at Somerset !
