I agree. Seeing North back up and about again has been one of the great stories out of the O&M over the last 3 years. Let’s just hope it’s the typical silly season rumour mill firing one across the bow and nothing too sinister.

Netball program wrote a letter to then treasurer, Martin as you said, expressing their displeasure about allocation of money in the club, saying netballers have been shafted and wanted more say on the committee.
Martin chose to step away and I believe has pulled sponsorship.
Hearing this indirectly so don’t have the full details, just got the gist of it

A lot of this happened real early in the season and the footy still went as well as it did, I imagine it shouldn’t affect football too much as long as the club can find other sponsors willing to put in the money they’ve lost.

Interesting to read the border mail about the Riley smith incident. Why is Hudson, a police officer fighting with an 18 year old north player? what a great look.
Also how do you clock 2 runs of nearly 40kms after severe concussion, sounds a bit suss. Would love to see the cops boot him out, starts a scuffle and got cleaned up, then takes it to court. what a waste of time and resources for everyone.

On the Anzac Day incident, watching the 7 news bulletin it actually seems like the Albury evidence doesn’t match up

I was at the game and didn’t see the incident because it was so far off the ball.
I really think no one realistically saw the incident other than Smith and the Albury player hit. Without footage of the game and misaligned witness statements from Albury players who probably didn’t see the hit, I don’t think the case can stand up in court.
If that is the case, that’s huge news. He has done a power of work to get North back to where it currently is. Big shoes to fill
As I’ve said previously, really silly from the Amery’s. Will find it difficult to get a look in with points and if they have already signed contracts. Wouldn’t have thought there would be too many tears shed at the nest at the end of the day anyway especially after one of them missed a couple of stints during the year due to rumoured off field indiscretions

Think you’ll find every football club has had issues with the netball side of things.
They want more money resources etc, not many of them are happy to put in more effort to get it.
Pretty sure Minogue’s old man had been helping with recruiting but has had a few health concerns.

That’s not what a COMMUNITY sporting club is all about.
You obviously didn’t attend the GF and witness the crowd and the noise at the netball games. Netball is on the rise and footy, as has been for quite a while now is continuing to struggle with too many teams supported by fewer supporters, players and volunteers.

God blind me, I’ve ran football departments for 50 years, we bust our boilers to raise revenue, the Netball is not self sufficient. I’ve bitten my tongue with some of the rubbish that’s crept in, and been physically held back on Thursday dinner more than once. Listen here, you want to delegate and manage funds, then raise funds, until then, know your place.
