A more recent addition - Broc MacAuly. Saw him the other day at the Albert Park golf driving range. Tall unit.
Someone mentioned Matt Bourke who played one game in 1989. I read or was told that he holds the record for most times being named as an emergency - something like 26 games. Not sure how true/accurate that is but just shows he must have been incredibly unlucky to not play more games in such a star studded team. Also Dom Berry played one game as mentioned - wasn't he going out with Alan Joyce's daughter at the time which have not helped him at the selection table?!

Certainly not obscure in his era, but it’s rarely mentioned now that Leigh Matthews’ younger brother Kelvin was a fine player in his own right.
Played almost 100 games for the Hawks, was part of the 1976 flag team and played for Victoria in 1974.
He later moved to Geelong and played another 50 odd games.

Didn't he kick a goal while reputedly having a broken leg. I think it could have been against Fitzroy, and there was no replacement so he stood in the goal square.
Round 11 1995 v Sydney at Waverley
Had a broken ankle

Ruoury Kirby rookie draft 2004.. How did this kid not get drafted the experts questioned after the draft. Hawks snapped him up as a rookie. Started in the BH seniors but soon fell back to the Dev squad. After 1 year he was in the SANFL.

Thank you Steven. I was there, but couldn't remember which game.

Yep, same game Dunstall twisted his knee, Dutchy broke his collarbone and our runner collided with an umpire and broke his cheekbone... And yes, Stevenson injured his ankle and sat in the goalsquare (and kicked a match winning goal) - scans later revealing that he had a fracture :thumbsu:
