I've never been more informed about Rugby League than I was when Sports Tonight was compulsory viewing.
same, and golf too - was always up to date on the australian pga

F1 for me, Sports Tonight kept me abreast of that (whereas I personally watched a lot of golf & league).

I used to watch the y2k era 5am replay (with Matt White) on Sat Morning before the Rage top 50. Good brekky viewing. Being in NSW it was also one of the better sources for AFL news too, particularly highlights of a match the prior night that was delayed very late or not locally televised.

There was another Sports news show on Ch7 on Sunday mornings back in the day called Sports World. I remember it being hosted by Johanna Griggs.
Was around the time of the Athens Omplyics in 2004.
That was compulsory watching for me.

We need more general sports based news shows back. It can’t be only ABC that do this

when bruce hosted it in the 90's it was essential viewing too, especially the sunday footy panel

There was also the Wide World of Sports show on Ch9 that was hosted by Ian Chappell and Mike Gibson in the 1980s and then was hosted by Max Walker and Ken Sutcliffe in the 1990s.

Rick Dizneck: gasps Well Daryl, I crushed my larynx.

Daryl: Right

RD: I broke my jaw, and all of my ribs

D: Right

RD: Both of my lungs were punctured

D: laughs

RD: I ruptured my spleen

D: Gee

RD: I also suffered some minor bruising to my body

D: Rick what actually went wrong with your run up to the vault? Did one of your sand shoes blow out as many people believe, or did you just **** up?

RD: gasps No Daryl, I just ****ed up

miss the Wild Winter Weekend. Fox Sports tried to bring it back, but it wasn't as good.
