The quote you've singled me out on as being an error still has plenty of time to blossom.

Not going to bother. You're just trolling me like usual, degrading the forum again. I'll act like the adult and get us moving on.

Onto the Semis, Finland are struggling to score even on the PP and had to rely on the excellent tending of Kipper to pull them out against the Czechs. USA have Miller in great form and are producing good chances themselves. Kessel, Kane and Stastny yet to fire.

Canada v Slovakia, interesting game. Canada should have too much talent for Slovakia to handle, unless Halak can pull off another brilliant game, but he's had to do that too much lately, might be just beyond him as he won't get much rest. Luongo will have to be sharp not seeing many shots again.

USA 3-1
Canada 5-1

Mikko Koivu to be the best centre on the ice which will his help contribute to seeing his team win. I also think Joni Pitkanen will be an important addition to the blue line after serving his suspension. He will provide some good offense, especially on the PP.

Finland 4 US 2

Despite Slovakias stud top end talent, not quite enough depth to stop canada's 4 lines. If slovakia can cause canadien errors and get on the PP, they have weapons like Gaborik, Hossa, Chara and visnovsky...enough to to damage and could cause a scare.

Canada look like they have turned the engine back on after it staaled :)p)and are in full gear. If slovakia win...wow

Canada 6 slovakia 2

Finland v Canada Final

Despite Slovakias stud top end talent, not quite enough depth to stop canada's 4 lines.

Looks like Canada have their lines sorted and they've been distributing the goals around very well, 11 of 13 forwards have goals, only Boo-ins Bergeron and Toews (7 assists) have missed out.

I thought Nash's goal typified last night's game, Malkin with a poor giveaway and Nash motors past two floating Russians to receive a fantastic pass and put it away upstairs.

Halak will need to have the game of his life (I've probably seen three of those this season) for the semi-final to be close.

The other two countries are playing for silver. I'll say Finland.

Halak to beat Miller for the bronze.

Canada vs USA final for me. With the Canadians taking the gold. As mentioned, Babcock has got his lines sorted now and they just looked like they were going to score on pretty much every attack in the first 2 periods. They just looked like they wanted it more from the first puck drop.

I lolled at Getzlaf having a go at Malkin after Luongo robbed him 1v1.

Semi-final day tomorrow.

USA v Finland should be a cracker. If Miller keeps it up then the he's playing off on Monday morning, almost a guarantee. I don't think there's enough scoring in the Finnish offence.

If Kipper really rates himself, he'll emualte Miller or outdo him and make this a one goal game, and give the Fins a chance.

Homer call, but look for some points out of Stastny, hasn't played badly, but hasn't done enough probably, so tomorrow's never been a better time to get on the scoresheet.

In the other final, I don't think the Slovakians will get the pantsing the Russians did. Halak will keep them in it for far too long, and it may unsettle those in red.

I don't think the Slovakians will upset them, although as severe, severe underdogs in this comp, let alone in this semi final, I shall be rooting for them, but they will push the Canadians and make their nation proud.

Lightning couldn't strike twice Monday could it?

One thing's for sure, this fear of the USA being too inexperienced, doesn't wash. Its not like their best players are rookies.

And Stastny's played his best game, like I said he needed too.

But yeah, they can't do it again Monday can they? Surely not..

As I left work this afternoon, a friend stopped me to say the US was already winning 2-0 (a lady born in Finland, catching the game on the NET)- I walked across the street with a buddy of mine to our pub where a bunch of people were gathering to watch- and when we walked in, it was biw 4-0....WOW! Feel sorry for the Finns- 6 minutes of craziness cost them any shot at the game.

Now to see how Canada does...sunday will be great either way.

slovakia needs to risk getting smashed in this one by attacking more..

they are not gonna hold canada to a 3 goal game, have to attack and and least make luongo do some work..

pretty ordinary period

Canada V USA - Gold medal game

with the US getting the last change, will be interesting
