Apparently there has been some interest in him from Geelong and Melbourne has come out and said he is part of our long term future, we are not looking at trading him away.

If that's the case I am happy, we certainly need more luck next year on the injury front!

Forget free agency, the free agent list is slim pickings.

Theres no impact players left, just a bunch of rubbish.

Will have to go the traditional route and land us a big fish the way we got Mitch Clark.

The deal I've heard is Hooker + second round pick for Caddy, so that may not work... Sounds like a decent deal in any case, provided that Gysberts is up for trade (looks likely unfortunately).

Any source to Gysberts speculation? That it 'looks likely' he will be gone is certainly news to me.

Luke Tynan went from winning the Casey development team B&F in 2011, to being named in the VFL seniors Team of the Year in 2012. Fast improvement, is there more in him? Could get a look in for the rookie draft. Would be cool to have brothers on the team again (not that 'cool' is gonna help us win).

I agree, it is nice to see, pretty pleased for Port they need a bit of luck on their side. Shame he's not coming to Melbourne though, would have been a great pickup.
