I'll throw up a second question - how far away are we from getting all player signatures on the Ultimate Hawthorn Premiership prints?

Hi Agent Smith,

The members of the team were notified of their selection shortly after the Peter Crimmins Medal. The process will take 2-3 weeks to have all signatures complete, therefore you can expect a finished product in-store from mid-late November.

I have a question: when are we expected to finalise our delistings and rookie upgrades etc?

Hi Grizzlym,

You'll have to keep checking the website for this. Ultimately, the list won't be finalised until after the National Draft in November where delisted platers can get picked up by other clubs.

Sorry I can't give you a difinitive answer, so the website is your best bet.

I have a question too :)

Will the Hawks be playing any games against GWS in Canberra next season? GWS is apparently playing 6 here, fingers crossed one of them is against the Hawks.

(yes this is a blatent attempt at getting a fixture leak :))

Nice try Dinsdale!

Fixture is released on 28 October. Again, check hawthornfc.com.au for updates.

It is great to see HFC Official on here. We are always hungry for info, but as I've said to other posters before, I'd always rather win more matches and flags than know some information a little bit sooner - if keeping something secret is the most likely to lead to success, then I'm all for being left in the dark! Of course, we're very appreciative of what little bits of info and clarifications you can provide.

I wouldn't mind some clarifications on the heights of certain players. Gunston has been quoted as being between 191 and 193. Lowden also has been quoted at a few different heights. Also, I noted that Mark Evans stated in the Gunston press release that Gunston is capable of playing both ends of the ground. Are the club viewing him as a tall utility who can play key defensive posts at either end as needed? Or more like a third tall who will roam around the flank and up to the wing on occaision?

Good afternoon Mr Offical,

I know that Tasmania are on board for the next 5 years, but what of our other sponsors? How much longer does HSBC, BUPA and Puma have on their current deals.

Sorry for the odd question, but we are looking at switching banks and our health insurance early next year and wanna support the sponsors of the club.

Given there are already several posters on here pushing the company line an official HFC seems pointless...perhaps we could let Pelchen come on to defend his trading

This account isn't about opinions or broadcasting the 'official line'. It's about giving people facts and information. You want to take people up on their opinions, go for it, but this thread 'aint the place.

Reckon this is a great idea.

But just on this:

If you have a membership or general club question that you want answered, we recommend that you email ...hawka@hawthornfc.com.au for general club questions. We advise you to use these communication mediums as emails are responded to promptly...

I have emailed that address at least 5 times this year, just with simple requests for information, and never once received a reply - not even a "sorry but we can't help you."

Not a biggie, but just a little feedback for you.

Same here.

Hi Official
I also have a question regarding the Hawks Ultimate Premiership print.
I have pre-ordered the signed by coach/captain framed print, will I receive this before they come available in store. The reason being is I want bragging rights over my family members, and as it's pre-ordered I believe I deserve this.

Same.

They are quick to fire out the bulk emails flogging memberships and gear at the Hawks Nest.

But when it comes to esquires ect. where they won't make any coin out of it, you get donuts.

Piss poor way to treat customers, let alone members.

Henry I will say that I have never had a problem with an email reply - the membership department have always been polite and professional in all of their email replies to me with a response received within a reasonable timeframe.

What I would like to know however is, in the past few years the post match functions for supporters in Perth appear to have died due to a lack of good venues at Subiaco Oval and the fact that the team want to catch the next flight out of Perth so they can prepare for the next week. In 2007 the club had a function in Perth in the off season for members which had a very good attendance - is there a possiblility of this happening again before the start of the 2012 season.

Hi stemline and Henry Jr,

Thanks for the feedback. I apologise if your emails haven't been replied to. If you've sent 5 emails to the Club with no response, I suspect there is an issue with your outbound, or our inbound restrictions. We'll follow this up internally and investigate from our end if there are any quarantine issues.

membership@hawthornfc.com.au generates an automated response to let you know your email has been received. Following your feedback, we'll be implemeting this into hawka@hawthornfc.com.au

One thing we pride ourselves on is customer service, so we're receptive to any feedback received on this subject.

HFC Official.

Hi Hawker5,

You might have noticed a larger presence around training sessions when travelling interstate. Post-match and off-season functions don't generally appeal to all supporters, so we've decided to focus on creating an intimate environment at training (called 'FabFriday' or 'SuperSaturday'). This program has been in place for the past two seasons, and we're extremely happy with how things are running. The players have also been extremely receptive to this - they always make sure time is spent interacting with fans along the fence after training.

Also important to note the involvement of the WA Hawks Supporter Group who are also fantastic in helping the Club out at these events.

Hi coshawk19,

Sorry - the Club prefers not to comment publicly on sponsorship deals other than when they're announced.

A question regarding the Peter Crimmins Medal night next year. Will it still be at Crown and the Saturday after the GF Oct 6th? If not definite yet when will it be confirmed? Thanks

Hi ghalls,

Planning will commence after the fixture is released, therefore I would visit hawthornfc.com.au a few weeks afterwards for any updates. If you can't find any information, email our Events Department at eventsadmin@hawthornfc.com.au.

Hi HFC Official,

I'm curious as to why the club does not release another club DVD. I look at my collection and the last addition was was back in 2008 when we were treated to 'Buddy Bonanza'. What i'd really like to see is a Cyril Rioli DVD, and i certainly wouldn't think twice about handing over $30 for it, as would a significant amount of members and fans - not just from Hawthorn mind you.

Would something like this be possible in the near future? It's would create almost a $1 million dollars in revenue if half our members bought it.

Let him get an entire preseason under his belt to work on his new running tecnique and I'm sure we'll be able to fill a 10-disc set with 2012 Cyril highlights! No need to bring it out just yet when the best is still ahead :thumbsu:
