Bullshit 50

Nice to win though. Man we were tall tonight, Smith showed heaps I thought.
That's where there should be a 15 metre penalty imo. Still, Krakouer was silly to push Scotty right in front of the ump who had no choice according to the letter of the law.

At the end of the day, average game, shocking skills...but I'm stoked to finish the year with two wins.

About as terrible as the umpiring we copped in the 1st and 2nd quarters mate. Cant say that free cost port the game, if the game had been called properly we would of won by 4 goals +

Not saying it did because Drew should have kicked truly minutes earlier but he barely touched him. The 50 metre rule should be reduced to 25 metres.

Or maybe have different Distances for different frees? I mean the 50 was there but theres no way it waranted a full 50 metres.

Good old DarwinRoo. Stirring last minute win in bloody Port to get one up for a club legend and Darwin is arguing we shouldn't have taken the points.

50 was there. Its a shitey rule, but if Krakeour hadn't have touched him, it wouldn't have been paid.

The one THEY got a goal from in the 1st quarter where Edwards allegedly ran over the mark was far worse.

Even that big gaylord Luke Darcy thought so.

That would make it worse as it would created even more grey areas.

Fantastic finish to our season and now 5th pick in the draft, I'm excited for next season already.

Great experience for our young kids to win interstate.

What are you smoking? I have no problem with us taking the points but that was a soft and bullshit decision.

Can you imagine if we lost Archer's last game to a decision like that?

great to finish with a few wins....disappointing to not be playing finals but put in perspective.....new coach...some good kids....decent settled backline....spitta and mcmahon coming of age.......new facilities...decent draft pick...pretty much outweighs the negatives

Had to didn't they?

IIRC, Port weren't too respectful to Archer (Or Stevens... one of the two).

I think you are confusing the Power with the Swans, who didn't line up for Grant's last game.

A 5th pick should give us a talented player. Hurley went pick 5 last year and he's going along nicely so if we can get a player of his calibre then that'd be great.

IF we'd lost Archer's last game on the back of a kid making an exceptionally poor decision, I'd be ropable.

50 was there. It is the rule. Krakeour stuffed up phenomenally.

Just found out something thats made me even more upset. The bloody rugbys not even live, so why did they have to cut over straight away? not like it would of cut into the game.

Meh, thats just what the media wanted people to believe. We lined up for Arch after the game. :thumbsu:

Good stuff guys, the game as a whole was fairly ordinary (So was the crowd!) but a few of your younger guys were solid.

Anthony I don't think will quite be elite (Ablett, Judd quality), just a bit below that but will still win you heaps of games and get a few AA selections.

Good to see Boomer starting to get back into it the last few weeks.

Oh, and don't be too harsh on Gartlett. When a young guy is being played out of position like that all you can hope is that he gives it a crack. (We've had Krakouer in the backlines for the whole year turning it over with every 2nd possesion as well.)
Good luck next year :thumbsu:

I know you're right, but I just didn't want us to win like that. Would have LOVED it if Boomer had kicked that goal and we won from that.
