The roos should win, but it will be a battle of the midfields, the Hawks still have some great players playing and wouldnt be surprised if Hodge was in the middle for them come first bounce, but Ed Lower should be able to do the job when Hodge goes to the backline.

Hopefully Macca can continue his great start to the season and topple their ruckman but Hale and Harvey need to fire.

Hansen just took a beautiful mark, and held it even though he got tunneled.

Three marking contests now i've seen our boys get tunneled. Hawks are playing a bit dirty.

Our young defenders in Thompson, Hansen, McMahon and even Gibbo are looking very composed and smooth.

Both players gone for the day, so they have a 2 man bench. It's a reasonably warm day too, so that could be good for us late in the game.

we try to do some kind of zone but the opposition just takes it from their backline to the forwardline with ease

Hawthorn Hawks: 4.1.25

We looked good early but just couldn't score when we went forward. Then the Hawks snagged a couple early.

Every time Hale went to a contest so far, he went to ground. He is not looking dangerous at all so far. Really needs to do something to justify being our primary forward.

Firitto, Thompson, Gibbo, McMahon, Simpson and McIntosh our best in that quarter.
