We gonna get spanked by 10 goals. #ReversePsychology

:thumbsu: That's the low key 'non-verbal action' I prefer.. let 'em talk up the opposition all they like. The facts remain.. North beat the Swans at their own game last night which was far more an impressive victory than last week that looked 'better to watch' but like Boomer said after the game, there is no easy games in finals. The crows didn't do the Hawks any favours at the end of the day because the 'bruise free footy' won't help Hawthorn next week.

The Hawks game vs the Eagles last week didn't allow the Eagles to be challenged and besides ALL the pressure is on them.

Make this a war - hit them hard and if we jump them early their fans will get restless.

Cunners, ziebs, spitter and jacobs need to keep the pressure on in the middle

We need to make our shots count.

we cant kick forward without looking- im looking at you ziebs
Brown needs to be the focal point and bloody hold his marks.

Thats why I think Thomas will come in and play a full game.

Just posted my attempt at putting the two teams together (just guessed on yours). Best of luck for October if you beat us.

Interesting match-ups:

• Gibson running with Gaff
• Jacobs tight tag on Shuey
• Shep/Hurn having to step up on their third tall
• Battle of inside mids: Priddis, Yeo and Hutchings v Cunnington, Ziebell and Swallow
• Trying to stop their classy half-forwards. Higgins and Harvey are key players.

As good as he is, he is lacking too much match fitness. I wouldn't risk him so deep into finals.

Risking Him?? I see it differently.. putting yourself ONE less player to compete for much of the game that can BE the difference in a tight contest. Gimme Nahas / Turner or LT who is willing to chase and tackle… something Wellsy DOESN'T BRING. Another reason why North have got better in the past month is all about the fwd line BRINGING the defensive pressure. Waitey has been invaluable with his blitzing tackles.. LOVE seeing that!! If North didn't bring that vs the Swans in the second half …the same result vs Collingwood occurs. I guarantee it. DOEs ANYONE with an iota of an idea of what today's game is all about?? It's PRESSURE PRESSURE PRESSURE.. whether it's scoreboard or physical tackles by the bunch. Be the HUNTERS not the Hunted.

Remember that. So far, Brad Scott has got his players in the right head space. Do Not bring in a passenger. Do not try to tweak something that is working correctly. Do not take for granted that the Swans first half was all about them being second to the ball… because they proved me correct in the third Q. They are finals campaigners who know what it takes to win.

#anti-complacent rant over.

You already know you're WAY & ABOVE most AFL media buffoons who 'attempt' to cover the game.. This is a very accurate guide as one can estimate. Thanx Suma Magic. We appreciate your well wishes.. and I personally hope you'll enjoy the contest.

How long till all the cocky fwits invade our board.

Judging by the main board they have already stitched up a GF spot.

That's EXACTLY want we want. Why fight 'hype'?? I'm loving the fact that North aren't getting a look in… sweet. :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

seen it all before and seen my NFL team wipe the smiles off everyone's faces.. 10 years ago. Brad Scott is saying all the smart things a coach should say. A grade communicator.

Including Wells this week would be an enormous call. He could single-handedly get us into a Grand Final off his own boot after coming on as a sub or it could be a complete disaster.

Ive invaded theirs.....f*** em I say.

Nah, Condescending f***ers, the lot of them.

I don't mind a bit of banter but these flogs are genuine in their views. Up there with * posters as the most painful posters around.

JUST NO.. leave Wells out of the equation. Just rubbish fallacy that you think it's gonna be a bruise free game.. ain't gonna happen kid.

Just dealing with facts is all we can bounce. I don't think a forum allows any conversation to stay on course with whack jobs living off the 'hype' instead of embracing the facts. Let them be. We do know North control their own destiny. Interstate travel shouldn't be the 'BIG BURDON' they are talking up.. otherwise North should have lost last night.

You're probably wondering why I say 'their destiny' … because the BIG comeback is… No you didn't win.. you watched, they won. ;):p #showusyourmembershipb@tchifyouwantbraggingrights

Yeah... I actually never said that. I expect it to be hot but Wells has the ability to be a match-winner for us. FWIW I'm not expecting him to be picked but if he was it would be a massive call.1

Pretty damn good summary. I'd keep Turner, unfortunately for Luke though he will be out for a fit Tarrant.

Would have Tarrant on Sinclair, Thompson on Kennedy and Firrito on Darling to start, Hansen will have a big job taking a smaller player and trying to get in the way of Kennedy et al. If Hansen gets cut up, he goes to Sinclair, and Firrito gets the small (LeCras or Hill), with Tarrant then on Darling.

Who will tag Boomer in the midfield? Will Wellingham go with him, Rosa maybe?

So many small defenders for us to stop on the rebound. Hurn, Wellingham, Yeo, Butler, Ellis could all be vital with their good kicking skills, Sheppard too although think he will get a tall and might be made accountable by us esrly as a direct strategy to stop his run,

No Garner in the line up.....but hey he is a coker supporter.

Weagles preferred game is to play on quickly at every opportunity, especially from the D50, we must be aware, and deny them that privelege, Garner, Turner, and Thomas all have a role to play there with their forward pressure.

Don't you think North performed that admirably last night? That's what stood out a mile!! My Swannies bro-in-law was telling me to STFU because he knows I was teasing him.. he said I know better and knew that without the Swans allowed to run thru HB, North have the game in their keeping but my concerns were all about scoreboard pressure. Kicking only 5.5 in that second Q was exasperating. But the tightness in that third Q was very adequate.. limiting the Swans to 2.4 when they had all the momentum. That is a HUGE indicator that the players are following Brad's instructions.

Not that the average footy follower has any iota wtf I'm referring to. My bro-in-law is way ahead of many footy follower on BF when it comes to understanding footy tactically and North essentially BEAT the SWANS at their own game. You'll possibly get literally ONE, maybe two, who 'may' point this out tomorrow on the footy show reviews.

But in the meantime… very happy to allow the media and all of the footy 'air heads' think the WCE are GF bound. They'll be in for a rude shock if the players keep up their intensity vs the Eagles.

We've won the last two contests largely due to pressure around the ball, pressure in the forward 50 and an ability to limit the spread of their key playmakers. The gameplan works and I wouldn't be screwing with it unless warranted due to injury (Tarrant and Petrie specifically).

Team balance is critical to maintain the pressure across the ground and this is why Garner seems to have locked down his spot at the moment. Scott seems to be tossing up between Turner and Nahas, so whether there's a change there is anyone's guess.

The only reason I could see Daw coming in would be if Petrie's soreness (looked like a medial strain) is worse than anticipated, but the fact that he ran out the game is a good sign.

WC worry me, but we've performed well against them the last couple of times and the big grounds seem to suit us at the moment. Hopefully the boys don't get overawed with the noise of the crowd.

I think we're a bloody good show in this one and will be having a sneaky $100 on it for NM under 39 points.

Go Kangas!!

Reasons to be Cheerful

I think stopping your half forwardline (Boomer, Higgins and Brown) will be tough considering the class of the first two and the height advantage Brown will have on whoever lines up on him.
