Walsh's direct quote not even 4 days ago was that they will not go for Hickey as they don't have the money for him. Further, they have 3 rucks, don't they? Ceglar, Witts and Wood who are all in the same sort of boat as Hickey. Mind you, I think Hickey will be better than all of them. Maybe Hine thinks similar.

Wouldn't be too against #21 though.

Saints have not cooled on Hickey, he is still our #1 target. Its just Pelchan is a stubborn old man and wont budge on what he has offered. Seems like will take til last minute to sort itself out!

Port have dropped the Broughton chase apparently because he has a higher than expected final year of contract to pay from Freo and he wants a long term deal, probably 3yrs. Would love the club to have a crack at him. Versatile defender/midfielder.
