Fitzy works on Sydney radio so I'm assuming he's now up here.

Interesting ROK didn't go back to Melbourne post-retirement though given his family's from there IIRC.

Levi O’Keefe, son of dual premiership player Ryan O’Keefe, and Hewston Fitzgerald, son of Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald, are both part of our U12 squad.

Interesting ROK didn't go back to Melbourne post-retirement though given his family's from there IIRC.

Ryan went Adelaide to coach (midfield) and then Sturt. He coached Western Jets in TAC cup in 2019, so he was in Victoria.

At the end of last year he joined NSW/ACT AFL as Coaching Development and Education Lead which explains why he is back in Sydney.

I recognise they are rare as hen's teeth, but I wonder if we'll see a gun key forward come through the academy one day. It must be nice for Adelaide (Thilthorpe), West Coast (Allen) and St Kilda (King) to have these young forwards who could end up one day being 15 year, 500+ goal forwards without the fear of the go-home factor.

Edit: Re-reading this, I realised it sounds like I'm concerned Logan is a flight risk. That's not the case at all, but it's obvious having a local kid offers a lot more long-term security.
