Welcome gardo55
I’m confused. I can’t see a full date on that Instagram post. Is it an old post? Or a recent post with an old photo? Or a different Max King (who looks rather young to have spent a week training with the senior team)?
I'm hoping Joe Harrison is a part of the team somehow this year, whether as an over-ager in the Talent League Academy team, or in the VFL.Cardiff Hawks....please produce some more Heeneys...hope this first one is a good start
I can't wait until we draft the three at the end of the year. We are going to have super depth and many locals. I love that. It is a pity Broken Hill is not in our zone, we have produced many great champions over the years.

You need to stop crushing on peoples happy thoughts. Sure, 10 months is a long time in footy, but its this enthusiasm that keeps us looking forward to following how our youngsters develop.10 months away lol

Yep, its gonna be extremely hard to match the bids on 3 academy boys.We will have pick 17 before academy/fs selections and possible priority picks so I wonder what we could do with that to get more points.
Brisbane finished fifth? So who did we lose to in the GF?Yep, its gonna be extremely hard to match the bids on 3 academy boys.

As it stands according to these tables..
- The Swans (with their full draft hand - 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round picks) cant match a single bid on a player in the top 9.
- Bisbane (who finished 5th) cant match a top 3 bid on their highly ranked academy kid Annabel despite having their 1st + 4x3rd round picks
- Goldcoast with three 1st rounders are going to struggle also.
Add to this, its going to be very hard to trade back and accumulate points
- less points
- only top 54 picks are worth anything
- Swans, Brizzy and Goldy already own 7 of the 36 2nd and 3rd round picks
- All of the teams with Academy, F/S kids are going to be desperate for those picks
I reckon its gonna be very hard/impossible to trade back a late 1st round pick to accumulate more points. Its a unique year with so many academy kids so highly rated.
(haven't even considered free agency compo picks - which push back all picks and points)
If our boys go at p10, p15, p20.. We need an extra (approx) 2000 points (at the moment we have 1167 points)! Not going to happen unless we trade out players
