If Silva plays forward (which is likely) what's his pass mark? Are we expecting goals or just contests/marks? Does anyone know what his forward pressure is like?

I'be happy with one goal, and demand enough attention or present far enough up the ground so as to prevent his man going third up on Mayne and Son Son's leads, bit of pain dished out in the bigger marking contests wouldnt go astray too.

If this happens game day hopefully big jack can take a few grabs close to home and get a few shots on goal. I like
Silvagni in that his effort can't be questioned and hopefully his attack on the ball results in a few sore GCS boys rather than friendly fire in our fwd 50.
I would love to see jack kick a bag

On the bright side - if Silvagni is up forward, he will have the lowest expectations on him from the supporters ever :p 'As long as he competes'

Yeah I'd be happy with one or two goals from SNOS and to see him throw his weight around a bit.

He doesn't mind the odd clumsy body clash, so it'd be nice to see him wreak a bit of havoc for Walters, Ballas and Croz to mop up.

Yep. Kepler replacement :p

One good thing about Crozier is because he has been playing mid for Peel he can run all day which is great for a guy who was recruited as a forward. His fitness is up and could easily help in the modfield. That game aginst Claremont was a pleasure to watch.

I have this irrational fear of him being crushed :p

Agree - if he is creating goals through his attack on the ball either in 1-1 or pack situations he will be useful, however the odd goal would be great from his and the team's perspective. I can recall him drifting forward at times in 2010 including the final vs hawks and kicking the odd goal.

Yeah he was swung forward - was one of those 'hey whats he doing up there' moments ... because expectations are low, it should be good for building his confidence

3-2 means Freo lose 40% of the time, so yeah you do have experience losing.

Of course we do, we've done nothing but lose for most of our existence.

Don't dig on your on team, I'm a big Essendon fan but I know Freo will be up there challenging. With your full squad, Freo will give the best teams a run for your money, you guys aren't far off

Quite the contrast from last year isn't it?

That's the thing. People took in his 2011 form and expected him to be the future of our defense and smash the newbie Dawson. Didn't quite work out that way. If this works out it'll help build his confidence. If it doesn't, no harm done, he was played out of position.

Hahahaha.....not quite the conversation I expected in this thread :D
Where's that new rating system when you need it?

Anyway, Hill out sucks. We should still beat them, but Mundy needs to get back to his devastating best. De Pig to the midfield for some extra grunt and muscle. We need to get physical with them, down and dirty ;)

Top 4 teams cover losses and beat clearly non-top 8 competition.

Are we top 4 that is the question.

A three way rotation with silvagni Johnson and Elvis with 1 forward 2 back could be hard to handle, confuses The young suns backline and they might brake down

Obvious troll is obvious.

Why do you always misspell an obvious word like break....far, far better to do the old 'your an idiot' and get the grammar nazis right riled.

You started out so well, I might call you Rhys from now on simply because it pleases me.
