Dixon starts walking as it hits 0, so do you have 30 seconds to start or have to have started within 30 seconds?

You just know how the week is going to unfold now. The media will scrutinise the Dixon 30-second call, it will be deemed correct (which it was), and the umpiring department will tick it off as well.

And the dozens of other decisions that went against Port will be forgotten about as per usual.

The Dixon call was technically correct. The timer was on the board, went to zero and then he got called play on. The umpire did what he was supposed to... I think?

Whether Selwood was standing too close to him? I'm not sure? But surely your 30 seconds shouldn't commence until you've at least got to your feet and have the ball in your hands.

That said, isn't the rule "must start your run up"... is that little half step thing he started not as much a run up as someone starting to walk?

You don't think the scoreline, the fact the game was in Geelong and the location of the free kick played in the decision at all?

i hope geelong do not get called out as it is unfair. other teams have been getting rides or getting screwed

For someone stuck at uni and not watching the game - what happened?

Was the 30 second call against Dixon I'm reading about the decisive one?

No. The Dixon 30-second one was technically correct (I think). The uproar is about Port getting reamed in a stack of other really critical calls. Disgraceful display, and was as prominent in influencing the result as I've seen in a very long time. Port utterly robbed.
