Just saw the back page of the Border (sorry Nonch I cheated) - Nth Wang lost their hearing with the VCFL regarding Steer

Just saw it too ( didn't buy it though Nonch).. Appeal dismissed by regional appeals board saying contract with maggies is enforcable, so Steer cannot play or coach in an official capacity at Nth Wang......Nth Wang can still go to the VCFL appeals board but it costs lots of $$$$$ to do that. If they choose to go that way they have until 2pm tomorrow (thurs) to lodge it.

Well I think that's what we all knew was going to happen. And I can't see North Wang appealing - they can't win. I'm on holidays at the moment so I don't know if anything has gone in the chronnie - if not I might have to pick up the Border as well:eek:

Great game against the old enemy in Benalla all blacks, they seem to be heading places this year and from what l seen should be a major player this year come finals time.
Due to clubs messing us around and I know it is late notice but if any club is looking for a final hitout at benalla under lights either this sat or next sat against Violet Town then send me a PM and your phone number and l will contact you. Cheers
Moyhu Football Club are looking for a practise match on the weekend of the 26th JB#13 if you are still interested?

Jamie Berry stood out playing for Tatong against KV yesterday.....

Has he left Nth Wang or just getting an extra hitout?

Greta has played Undera and Tungamah in the last 2 weeks.
Standouts have been Humphries, Craven, Oconnor, Bell and Mclaughlin.

Watched some of Glenrowan vs Rutherglen on Sat, the tigers new CHF (#23) looks pretty handy!

I'm with ya on that one JB! Wouldn't say he is the most loyal bloke in the league. I'm sure he has his reasons, but I'm not sure why he would leave Nth Wang when they seem to be making moves in the right direction.
Exactly things look to be on the way up and i am sure he is the captain! Fair enough $$$$ is great and all but you would think he would be well paid at Nth Wang and that being the CAPTAIN of a club would mean something!

Berry has always chased the coin...was always open to offers when at G/rowan to bargain his wage up, and shouldn't be surprised if he's jumped ship to chase more coin, he wouldn't give a rats if he was captain as long as number one was looked after

Yeah I don't know him very well, but that was the impression I got through talking to people at Glerowan and Nth Wang. Honestly don't think he is that good a footballer anyway, gets a lot of it but doesn't hurt you that much with his use of the pill!

I agree, gets a lot of easy ball in the back half.

Ok Gentlemen, so recruiting is almost over and the season opener is only 9 days away.
Here is my ladder for the year:
1 - Milawa
2 - Tarrawingee
3 - Whorouly
4 - Benalla All Blacks (Not convinced sorry Slim)
5 - Bonnie Doon
6 - Moyhu
7 - Greta (Our Depth will test us)
8 - Bright (Always a smokey could go as high as 4)
9 - King Valley
10 - Glenrowan
11 - Tatong
12 - Nth Wang (Not buying the hype)
13 - Goorambat
14 - Swanpool

All comments welcome!

Yeah I reckon that looks pretty good Pliz, but I do think NW will push up a bit - I'd probably have them in ninth and push the others down a rung.
And a few injuries may test Milawa early on, particularly with a tough start to the season, so the top five or six could really finish in any order.
