40% kicking efficiency within that DE% is.

Edit: my bad, his kicking efficiency for the saints game was 57%. The 40% reflected his season to date combining his 0% KE from 3 kicks against Brisbane with that 57%.
Not talking just about kicking although that suits your argument.
DE is DE. Kicks, handballs.
Markov has been great.
ENJOY

Not sure what your problem is with Markov. Remember he plays for us.
Great in the last two games.
Suck it up.

Well it’s pretty hard not to love and cheer for the bloke after reading that. In addition to his on-field efforts, Oleg sounds like he’d be great to have around the club too - a really positive energy provider to those around him.

Good athletic genes too - his old man is Dmitri Markov, former World Champion pole vaulter.

Fly the Redeemer has an incredible gift for seeing and bringing out the best in people.

Good people draw others to them.

We all do forget there’s a person behind the player

Seems like a great guy. Love that smile after Maynard’s blunder … good vibes.

This is not true of Carlton players I’m afraid. They are the robots that overtake the world in Terminator….. don’t let them fool you. That’s their first trick.

Their trick is making you believe they don’t exist, which they’ve been doing for 20+ years.

McRae is just a ripper.
We're on the right track.
Seems to me that article is about McRae as much as it is about Markov. His comment about the club - person above player - might be garbage but there is more than one step in his journey. I don't think need a coach to be a Buckley, Shaw, Matthews or (god forbid) a Hird to attract me too the pies. I'd much rather a McRae, who brings something special to the table. My sense is McRae is an exceptional teacher and developer of people.

100% spot on description of McRae, I think this really is showing with the relationships he is building the players it looks like they all want to play for him.

Yeah, it is demonstrated in every conversation with McRae or his players. Just to compare, I loved Bucks, so did most supporters and Eddie. I don't think the players did. That wasn't there relationship. It is a cliche, want to play for the coach but at 59 I still care if my boss is worth playing for.
