Like I said, it’s about development and success.
If they could land a 1 point star from the ovens and king, no one will get close.
Won’t matter..there won’t be a season

Not so sure about that. NSW restrictions being relaxed faster than Vic. So play first 3 rounds of 9 in NSW.Won’t matter..there won’t be a season
How many cases in the area , surely not that many to cause no footy. Also as someone who enjoys the comp from Melbourne there is no way known i'm paying to read the Border Mail.Interesting reading the Border Mail. Wodonga and Corowa not super keen to go ahead (citing volunteers) but Raiders and Wang kicking off training on Tuesday.
I get the feeling the clubs in contention might be keen to play but the clubs who most likely will battle aren’t so keen.
Footy won’t be easy on volunteers but I just wonder if this could be an easy option for the weaker clubs. Wodonga Saints in the Tallangatta League have offered all their players and officials full refunds on their memberships.
Only 1 or 2 in Albury Wodonga in total I think. Haven’t heard of any in Wangaratta. How many cases in the area , surely not that many to cause no footy. Also as someone who enjoys the comp from Melbourne there is no way known i'm paying to read the Border Mail.
I’d be chasing Jamie Allan and big Normo, high quality and even more value if points are a squeeze. And who would that be
So what is the problem for footy going forward.Only 1 or 2 in Albury Wodonga in total I think. Haven’t heard of any in Wangaratta.
Wang wouldn't have him when he wanted to come back 2 years agoI’d be chasing Jamie Allan and big Normo, high quality and even more value if points are a squeeze.
Too many inflated egos in the one room? He’d walk in to their side no worries.Wang wouldn't have him when he wanted to come back 2 years ago

The successful sides like Lavington, Wang and Albury seem to be keen to at least train and keep guys together. I was surprised to hear this from Myrtleford, thought they’d be excited to unveil the big recruits, regardless of the format. Yes volunteers are going to be overloaded, but it’s obvious no one wanted to take a pay cut, they aren’t the only side that missed big profits.Myrtleford also saying they don’t want to play today in the paper.

The unsuccessful clubs should take a look at the way the top sides operate.
Pretty piss weak mindset from some of the lowly teams around the region to pull the pin early.
Yeah I am, and this reeks of selfish players not sacrificing their payments.Pretty easy to sit back and take pot shots and make assumptions. Are u a committee member or volunteer at your club?

And to the lower clubs raising the white flag early, how bloody pathetic.
Why?I disagree with your view
He was... at a club that had to fold after being run so poorlyPretty easy to sit back and take pot shots and make assumptions. Are u a committee member or volunteer at your club?
Why?
Touted as premiership favourites by many, two new recruits fresh from the afl, just had their best season in 15 years, they boast a strong supporter base, the whole town gets behind them, they should be chomping at the bit.
Not buying the bullshit excuses.
Personally, I’ve never been involved at a club that has officially folded, but it’s not something to celebrate, either way.He was... at a club that had to fold after being run so poorly

Totally agree. Maybe Myrtleford’s thought process might be based around the fact that a lot of their players travel from Melbourne. The successful sides like Lavington, Wang and Albury seem to be keen to at least train and keep guys together. Possibly combined with the struggle to retain/service sponsors at the moment & the reduced salary cap.Totally agree. Maybe Myrtleford’s thought process might be based around the fact that a lot of their players travel from Melbourne.
Great questionWill there be any issues with players travelling from higher density areas of the virus to play footy on the border?
