From the * board, in relation to their CEO for a day:

I can see the optics is not great but sametime pandering to a noisy 3% of the Australia wide population is pathetic. Just the way the world has gone, it's turned to s**t. This is like the Mainly jersey. All a beat up!
Meantime we have real world problems with NK firing a missile over Japan today, russia prepping to test a nuke in coming days, GBP about to collapse, SE America devastated by a cyclone and most of europe about to freeze to death this winter and starve. Yeah let's get all worked up about what people do in the private of their homes.
Wake the * up people, so ******* selfish and ignorant of reality. Oh well let the peasants have their brains entertained with BS and I'll quietly relax knowing I've stacked silver/gold and squared away all debt waiting for the collapse and being somewhat relaxed knowing the flood is coming like Noah and tried to help as many as I could before it happens.
Anyways lets hope EFC sign Bowes lol.

Hooray for day drinking!

Best way to end that post, “Let’s hope EFC sign Bowes lol”. Please post that persons thoughts when * don’t sign Bowes, should be an equally as brilliant rant.

Reminds me of a time when a Collingwood supporter friend was carrying on about how they stole Jordan Russell from us. Couldn't understand why I laughed at his stupid comment.

Delusional Rabble supporter in the Ross Lyon thread on the Main Board :-

I think he knows the club's in the best shape its been in for over a decade ? Paying down their debt and 60,000 members ? He knocked back basket cases like Carlton and Essendon ? Can see us finishing 8 -10 ? maybe higher ?

O Happy Day ?

The worst thing about that is we need to wait 10 months for that persons post-2023 thoughts when St Kilda finish in the bottom 4. 😂

Knocked us back? More like retreated once he had to compete for the job. Saints have given him assurances a mile out.

We're hated again! 😍

Let the obsession grow, you pissy flogs out there

Second post on the Ross Lyon welcome thread on the Saints board :tearsofjoy:

It never stops amusing me when supporters of minnow club seem to think anyone actually gives a toss about their shitty little club and use that to justify their shitty decisions.

"Oh we got Ross. Everyone is only laughing at us because they hate us and are jealous!! Will be amazing to win the premiership you flogs!! LETS GOOO"

As opposed to other clubs are laughing at you out of pity and remarkably stupid decision after stupid decision. Whatever helps you sleep at night I guess :D

What’s so special about Lyon?

He had a great side at the saints and couldn’t get the job done. I get he made grand finals but he couldn’t get over the line.

That saints team was definitely good enough to win at least one. Prime nick Riewoldt was different gravy 😂

Hilarious from the Rabble Pres (the bolded bits) :laughv1: :laughv1: :laughv1:

Dear Member,

I hope you are well.

I am pleased to be providing you with an exciting update.

On behalf of the Board, I would like to announce that Ross Lyon has been appointed as the Senior Coach of our men’s AFL program.

With more than 35 years’ experience in the AFL as a player, coach, analyst and commentator, Ross is one of the most widely respected senior coaches in the competition and brings a breadth of experience to the role.

We have spent the last 10 days talking extensively to Ross. He has presented to our Board and met multiple times with myself, Simon Lethlean and Geoff Walsh to share his vision for the future of our program.

Ross emerged from our review as the primary target and it became clear in our discussions that he had the vision and characteristics that we need in our Senior Coach.

Ross’
unwavering pursuit of on-field excellence and uncompromising standards are exactly what we believe we require to take this club forward.

Importantly, Ross shares with you a love and passion for our club and he has a deep desire to see it respected and celebrated.

The appointment of a new Senior Coach and a new General Manager of Football in Geoff Walsh are key outcomes of our review that we commenced in late July.

I have made a commitment to report back to you on the review process and will share the high-level outcomes after we have finalised the internal processes.

Importantly, securing our new Senior Coach has completed the major changes that we need going forward into season 2023.

As we embark on our 150th year, we will not shy away from our ambitious goals for this club both on and off the field.

The last few weeks have been incredibly difficult. As hard as it has been, the Board’s commitment is to drive sustainable success for our deserving and loyal supporters. We are confident that we have made the right decisions in pursuit of this goal.

Over the last five years we have returned to our spiritual home, built state-of the-art facilities for our athletes and people, welcomed an AFLW team, ensured we are on the path to being debt-free and are building the foundations of long-term football success.

There is still more to be done and the Board is absolutely committed to the work ahead.

Our club is now creating a culture we can all be proud of, and the fact that we are able to attract some of our industry’s best football administrators and coaches is testament to that.

We are so thrilled to have Ross back at St Kilda, and I know that our members will be feeling hope and excitement for what is to come.

Take care and go Saints,

Andrew Bassat.
