Saints have really set the next coach up for failure by doing this the day after trade period ends. Whoever comes in inherits a list they have had zero say over.

How can the AFL justify taking money off us for some kind of equalisation fund when it only ends up in hands of teams who continue to be a rabble for a reason.

Case in point St Kilda sacking a coach long after their season has ended and just a few months after they signed him for a further 2 years.

Pretty easy decision to make I guess when the big clubs are effectively picking up the bill.

Another coach sacked at Saints.
So everybody is saying what a basket case North is, and they should get shipped to Tassie.
Well, comparing their result to Saints:

Saints: 1 Premiership, 6 Runners-up, 27 Wooden Spoons in their 125 years of existence.
North : 4 Premierships, 5 Runners-up, 15 wooden Spoons in their 97 years of existence.

I think it's about time the Saints become the Devils and sail to Tassie. More of a basket case club than anyone else.

Rutts is not a bad coach. His record is no unreasonable. This is just bizarre.
There are far too many instances in the AFL ecosystem where contracts have been torn up just weeks or months after being written and it is absolutely perplexing. Collingwood are not exempt from this behavior either, which is frustrating. At least the contracts that Collingwood have 'torn up' have been after a senior football manager has been appointed and a new strategic direction has been developed. St Kilda are doing this stuff without accountability at the top level. Who would want to play there?!
