Geez Derm is a bad commentator, topical after the week he had. Howies horrible too, so is Montagna, makes it hard to watch. Think I will mute it.

Haven't heard Derm commentate in a while. Must have forgotten / repressed how flipping awful he is

True too but I don’t mind the sub concept.
But making it conditional on players being injured just opens it up to abuse. Seen it many times this year. Collingwood took cox off when conditions didn’t suit. North took Stevo off when he got a tip in race seven at Caulfield and wanted to watch the race.

I do trust the integrity of doctors to make the call. In general they don’t spend all those years in med school and then get flogged as interns just to then go out and do dodgy stuff.

However, probably where it all falls over is that players are playing injured all the time. So it’s probably not a far stretch to determine that a player is too injured to play effectively. And what the AFL care about is that the betting companies keep spending their sponsorship dollars, and that the quality of the spectacle is decent.

Sydney are a dark horse for the flag this year I reckon. I know it’s easy to say when they just had a 9 goal quarter, but they’re an even side with no major weaknesses, no major injuries, and hitting form at the right time. I also think they’ll finish 4th.

Edit: Crows coming back… hope they get up

I trust them for concussion but with other injuries there’s a massive grey area where players are subbed off with injuries that will keep them out of the game for a while. They then make a sudden recovery during the week. Then the same medicos sign off that they are good to go and are exempt from the one week rule… because circumstances have changed.

It must be about time we got to play them at the MCG during the season it feels like last century when they last played us in Melbourne,it is too just much home ground advantage for them all the time. I know we generally only play them once a year but it should not be at the SGC all the time,I would be happy to play to play them twice a year if it mearnt we play them at the G,even the Giants play in Mel but not them does anybody remember the last they played at the v us I know I don,t.

The threshold is unlikely to play for 12 days.

the north boards Stevo and JHF threads have taken significant turns 😂
I feel for the Horne Francis.
North are gonna "Jack Watts" the bloke.
Too much expectation in a horrible side.

3 mins into 2nd qtr, Jeremy Cameron misses a goal from 10m out, 45 degree angle. lol
