This would be my best 22 although it’s likely we are going to see McEvoy in defence and cegs as the ruck. gonna be a hard one to push out one of those defenders. I know cegs didn’t sign 3 years to be a box hill ruck so he will be best 22.

I reckon it's about 1,000,000% unlikely that we'll see that.

That’s a good team but I agree with you on cegs. Going to be competition for the tall spots down back and up forward. Haven’t seen that for a while, maybe since the glory days.

Based on his form as number 1 ruck at the latter part of the season and afyer signing a 3 year deal I think Cegs will be first ruck for the whole year barring injury or major drop in form.
Personally I think Cegs is in for a career best year in 2020.

I would be surprised if it's a one year and done for Stratton, would make our capacity lool like a revolving door with Roughead only being in the job for short period of time also.

I think we're better off making sure we have the best person for the job than worry about external perceptions. I really don't think that is Stratton. Has been an excellent player for a long time, but not the right man to lead out club forward. The hard part is deciding whether the group who is are ready, including Tom who is coming back from injury.

I'd be personally making Jaeger captain for 2021.

I'm trying to figure out how I can slot Nash into the lineup but it's difficult. Really like what he brings to the team when he plays.

8 wins, 6 losses when he plays
3 wins, 5 losses when he doesn't

I know correlation doesn't mean causation, but we lost to some average teams through the stretch where he was out of the lineup.

R 6 = Narrow win over the Blues
R 7 = Loss to Melbourne
R 8 = Win against the Giants
R 9 = Biggest loss for the season against the Tigers
R 10 = Win against the Power
R 11 = Loss to the Lions
R 13 = Loss to the Bombers
R 14 = Loss to the Swans

Round 15, Nasher back in, we have a narrow loss against the Eagles purely through poor kicking. Night and day.

Good problem to have, that team can certainly challenge. Hopefully we have our kicking boots on next season and play gunston mostly fwd.

Smith can bag 30+ goals as a genuine Hf imo. Wingard and O’Meara swap as the frwd resting mids. I’ve gone with just 1 ruck so we’re not cumbersome around the ground. I’ve left out poppy for Ollie but not that fussed if it was a flip as I’m a big poppy fan . Nash and tob fight out the 7th frwd spot and I’ve gone with Timmy as him playing well allows Gunner to be utilised where we need him the most. Our inside mid combo is quite impressive imo.

That’s one of life’s great mysteries, Stratts had a stinker in 2019.

adding Stratts to that back 6 kills the ball movement out of D50, all of Frost/Chip and Stratts grouped together is footy suicide.

Couldn’t find room for TOB and I’d rather Hanrahan keep getting a game ahead of Pop, but they’d be my next two in line.

Obviously I’m a bias hawks supporter, but it’s a decent side whichever way you look at it, with Impey to come back too. Confident that’s a side that can compete in September.
