I'd say it's much less likely that guys like Finn and Day (in particular) get games this year now.

Double edged sword...if we find ourselves out of contention due to form and/or injuries McGuiness, due to his physical advancement may play. But that's the last thing I want so you're probably right.... But there's always the Clarko factor.... But yeah, I tend to agree with you.

I guess I'm just a bit concerned because Patton isn't the quickest and we haven't really seen how playing him and Lewis affects our fwd defensive pressure.... Shedding lists down to 35 will be a disaster and injuries means clubs now won’t have depth anymore.

Hopefully it doesn’t happen and the AFL keep it around 40-45 players.

GW has a difficult task from now until the end of the year to re-sign as much players as possible.

Cuts a bit close to home for everyone at the moment I reckon.
A lot of people aren't coming out of this how they came in. How the AFL and footy as a whole goes is interesting.

We've had Soccer players test positive and talk of court action in the A league over payment.

The AFL seems to be in a better place than that at the moment but the way the pay cuts to the players seems to be structured is screwing the vulnerable players at the low end of the scale big time

Just imagine how bad Buddy would / should be feeling taking all that leftover COLA which should’ve been used on all the lower end players
