Yeah no thanks to Voss, apparently his 2nd interview at Collingwood bombed (according to a few journalists)

This was photoshopped by Scoops btw earlier this afternoon. Thoughts

I still don't think RTB is a done deal at all yet, just wondering what you all think of seeing Ross in a Carlton polo ?

As a dark horse candidate, I wouldn't mind Choco Williams at all, his passion and zest is infectious.

Out of curiosity what does he bring to us?

Other than an outdated game plan, question marks on whether he can adapt to the modern game. It’s also not about being a nice guy or not it’s about relatability and I don’t see him being relatable with the playing group.
Think its time we put the acid on the playing group the majority have seen off 2 coaches in a short period .
Someone like Lyon will leave them with no excuses and nowhere to hide .
Give it your best efforts or theres the door.
Lyon is a proven coach that will adapt imo if given the position .
Not at all concerned about his finish at Freo because we have imo a far better list than his last 4 yrs there.
Also consider Clarksons last 4 yrs saw Hawthorn at the lower end of the ladder but i dont think too many would be arguing if he was appointed .

‘Winx’-like Lyon tipped to revolutionise Blues
One of Ross Lyon’s former employers says him not coaching has been “like keeping Winx in the stable” and tipped Lyon to have a huge impact if he takes charge at Carlton.

I use Chrome & the extension is not that good I removed it.

Use it on Firefox. Works perfectly. The Chrome one is admittedly crap.

Ross has given a nudge to former friends to compete with the smear campaign. Nice.

I wonder who the mentor is who Ross referred to the other night on FC. Said he spoke to him weekly during his coaching career seeking honest feedback.

Roos, if I had to guess.

That's who I thought. Even though he would have been an oppo coach for a few of those years.

Be great if we got Roos as Director of coaching for free!

Probably why he won't name him.

Think Roos is on North's payroll at the moment so probably unlikely.

It’s probably too much to ask, but all I want is a thorough selection process ending up in the best candidate being chosen. Not opposed to any specific person, but I just don’t want a sham of a process when the decision has already been made. Some of the best coaches of the modern era were unheralded and out of left field (think Clarko, Hardwick, Beveridge, etc). None of those were the frontrunner when those teams were looking for a coach, but the clubs took the selection process seriously and found the diamonds in the rough.
Now it’s obviously not guaranteed to work, but I just don’t want it to all be for show. I can’t see the club going for an untried coach, with the review showing a lack of leadership and ability to instruct - but that doesn’t mean Ross is the only viable candidate.

No problem with the review, but you do it at the end of the season, and not lie about it. The review was supposed to be on the football dept, and nothing to do with the coach. Lloyd keeps his job, and they sack Teague, Amos, Stanton and ofcourse the original scapegoat in Barker.

It is pretty obvious why they appointed Teague. He was always a fill in coach until Clarkson was available. Kennett forced their hand and the lies began to unravel quickly.

What does Carlton stand for today?? What culture is there within the club? It has become something out of Game of Thrones.

Not far from the truth. It’s why Teague was never given the support he should have from day 1.

Agree the culture is a mess!

Scared they will steal some of his stack of hay
It's more
We are already on opinion overload
I reckon other club members and their opinions can be shared on the main board.
Isn't that what it's for?
Then if you want to see whaT others think of Lyon etc you can wander over and look.
Just my take on it.
