I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Longmire has failed in GF's, not just failed, been utterly pantsed.
Why would we want that?

About the only current coach I'd take would be Chris Scott and he's not going anywhere.

Maybe because he is making enough money with his Hungry Jacks franchises and the media and his kids might be an awkward age where he doesn't want to move yet.

We have for most of our 30 plus years and it hasn't really worked out....Neesham, Connolly, Harvey, Drum, Longmuir all risks.

Still won one and with over a decade of making finals and GFs. Sounds amazing to me. It's like Hinkley but he can get passed prelims.

Anyone who thinks we should pass on Longmire because of his grandfinal record while other coaches can't even make grandfinals are kidding themselves.

Spurs are about to sack Ange, he’ll soon be available.
Hopefully the board has a contingency in place now. Worst case scenario for the club is that were 0-4 and that should be the moment he's gone. Potential for the season to be salvaged under a care taker or someone like Simpson.

Longmire, Simpson, Beveridge, Hinkley would be my order of preference of the 'available' coaches.

Longmire yuck he coached the AFLs golden team with all their advahtages for over a decade and won 1 flag. He would have no chance here. I'd rather Sumich
Longmuir is certainly in the conversation as Freo's worst coach.
Only if you have recency bias. He won us a final and has a 50% win loss ratio so is miles ahead of a few others.
