Anyone can join the forum any time. If they add something to the discussion and don't peddle bullshit about being ITK, they should do just fine.
(I agree with you about post count not meaning anything. Some of the best posts I've seen came from people who barely post.)
Exactly my point re: Gallucci. Some ‘veterans’ on here don’t like to be challenged by the newbies. Even when your point is completely valid. Funny old world this big footy caper.
Thank you. Again it’s what you want to get out of footy and what you’re willing to put in. Unfortunately, I find, the AFL makes it hard for a person to restrict how much you “put in” due the remorseless ongoing media deluge. It’s great for the ex players and people who make a shitload from it but not that great for those who just want to follow their club for the enjoyment.
It’s easy to say “ignore the media” but is it? I struggle to do so but after looking at it for a few few years and thinking about it I’ve decided to remove myself emotionally from it, so when I see people going ape shit on here about stuff paid media trolls are posting on Twitter I just shake my head.
This is not to say I don’t get frustrated with the state of footy at all levels......it’s f***ing terrible.
Why does that bother you though? Sometimes you'll get people pushing back on your ideas. If your argument is sound, it shouldn't be a problem. If you think someone is unreasonable or trolling you, just put them on ignore.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand.
I really hope they give the coach (Nicks) some clean air — in terms of tenure and the autonomy to hand pick his assistants. He needs time to reset everything. Unfortunately, this supporter base isn’t patient enough for that. There will likely be some tough times. This is when we have to back him in and stay the course.

I'm new i get it, I dont average over 12 posts a day for the last 11.5years on a social forum so I must be a troll called snake.
I'm fishing to trade information, but clearly the Elite on BF has none but bad memories.

The supporter base can handle it, but if he plays the oldest team possible and we finish 11th, then he will be in the shit

Will happily bookmark this comment for the end of 2020 ...Gallucci will prove to everyone that he is nowhere near a bust .
I expect him and alot of our younger crew to surprise plenty once they have a clean run at senior footy .
Gooch especially doesn't need 25 touches to be influential , we just need to use him properly and utilize his strengths

Volume of posts means nothing , hell look at mine, but what it does is give a broader sense of what the poster brings to the site.
Most of the posters I respect and admire have few posts. In the last few weeks James_37 has just killed it with logic and knowledge, I always enjoy arrowman and his contributions , me I'm just in it for the cheap laughs and self esteem boosting likes. (please like this)
On Gallucci you would have being smashed for going early. Plenty wrote off Milera after 10 games. Yet those who watch football a bit can see the special things he can do. I am hoping Milera gets out of whatever ailed him (hoping coach/management changes help) just as I think Gooch has something. You dont.
One of us will be right but I am prepared to say Gooch gets to play 125+ games of AFL football

What valid points have you made apart from ''Gooch is a bust''
I dont mind you saying that ( I dont agree) but back it up with something that highlights something I have missed
Whist I’ve maintained for a while now that Gooch is a bust, I’ve also maintained the hope that I’m wrong about him. I really hope you are right.
I personally cannot see any of Nick's, Yze, Burns, kingsley or Harvey interested or wanting to be an assistant for one another.
I would also think that whoever gets the senior coaching role should have a right to choose who his assistant is to be.
I suspect, like others, that the senior coach has been selected, and the last week has been about his requested assistants or football department people.
Now that Burton and Campo are gone I'm feeling alot more optimistic about this coaching appt and am open to options.

Arrowman's posts are usually pretty insightful. Mutineer/Bicks is also usually good for reserves & junior footy insights.
My contributions are mostly 1 or 2 sentences and a few memes.

This is where i hope we have locked up Mark Stone in some role ... midfield and stoppage coach etc ... he is a near must IMO .

I think there are a few like this and lets hope the fresh air gives them all a clean start and an opportunity to rise or fall on their own
What really stands out for me is that he is a nearly player. Has an elite vertical leap...but is too short for it to be a weapon. Has neat disposal...but doesn’t get enough of it. Is quick but doesn’t have that courage to burst from a stoppage. I think his size is a real issue. I don’t think he thinks he belongs. I sense a lack of confidence. So here’s hoping they give him a good run at it so he can prove me wrong.

I agree he is that mid height that is neither here nor there.
The disposal numbers hopefully rise next year with more games and confidence. One thing I think we would both agree on is there doesnt seem to be one spot he can call his own
Half forward maybe but he cant survive on that alone. With our midfield set up I cant see him getting a full time role ( if any) for a few years , so he needs something else
Maybe just maybe a wing?
