Carlton Board also (on top of their Houston melts) had this:
"Don’t know if it’s been mentioned elsewhere, but I was told by someone who works at Collingwood FC, the reason why McRae came out and said he’s happy to inform everyone that Stringer won’t be playing at Collingwood is because they nearly got into a punch up during their meeting.
McRae told Stringer that if they were to pick him up he’d have to lose weight because he’s too fat to play the role they would want him to play.
Stringer wasn’t too happy with what was said and how it was said and fired back at him. Apparently got to the point where they both were standing up yelling at each other and McRae told Stringer to GTFO. Stringer became too aggressive towards McRae so he was told, in no uncertain terms, that if he didn’t leave immediately he couldn’t guarantee Stringer would be able to safely leave the building."
This story...hmmm...is it more or less plausible than my other favourite recent story - the one about the eating habits of migrants in Springfield, Ohio?

Given we got Noble and Richards for next to nothing that fact that they may collectively help get us Houston is a massive win for the club. Will be sorry to see them go and wish them the very best. Once a Collingwood player......side by side!
Buy low, sell high.

We’ve got Carlton’s F1 + F2 for 13 on the table, there’s no way we’d be doing that trade. It’d be F1 + Noble for 13 or nothing.
I think you’re underestimating how much your club values players over draft picks at this point. Whilst the trade you quoted might be a bit OTT, don’t be surprised if it’s something like 13+23 for Noble+F1.

That’s fair enough if Coll feels like that, but then we are trading 13 to Carlton and you aren’t getting Houston
Your bravado is cute. Reality is Suns would be stupid to play hardball for a good player who, for once, actually wants to come to GC.

Suns trading history suggests weak knees at the table - Bowes, Brodie, weller, trading F1s for late 25+ picks. You posting here after no takers on the main board and this mornings updates already points to confidence dropping on your supposed stance

We’ve got 8 clubs interested in Pick 13, if we don’t use that and give it to the highest bidder then what’s the point.

Noble + F1 for 13, 23 & 29 is the lowest bid of 8 teams, you’ve got to beat Carlton if you want Houston.

If we don’t get Noble and instead can load up on F1’s for our academy picks next year I’m all for it.

For me it’s like recruiting 2 players and filling three needs.
Perryman on ball.
Houston to half back.
Jaicos back onto a wing where he’s at his Copeland winning, damaging best.
Also means Naicos can play forward of ball and first receiver in the middle. If he is allowed to play this role for the year expect Cripps brownlow count to be smashed.
