If i want an intelligent break down of Collingwood's moves, Cooney would be the very last person I'd turn to
Surely I'm not the only one who thinks we're being bent over for Houston.
He's not a Petracca or Cripps or Jeremy Cameron, he won't be the defining factor in us going up the ladder.
Giving up Noble, Richards, a future 1st rounder and pick 36 for Houston and Pick 50-****ing-8.
Hine has done it again, we have not seen enough return on this trade and have 3 draft selections in the 50s

You forgot Harrison and possibly Robertson. Our 23-29 age group will now stand at
Beau - 23
Bobby, IQ - 24
Perryman, Jaicos - 25
Schultz, Lipinski - 26
Houston - 27
Maynard, JDG, Moore -28
DC, McStay - 29
Add in Nick at 21, Allan at 20 plus McGuane next year
That's 14 of our best players in the perfect age bracket, plus Allan and McGuane who we are super excited about, and our older guys
Crisp, Titch, Mihocek, Elliott (32) who are all 31
20 guys who should be with us for at least the next 3-5 years, and untried guys like Jiath and Demattia at 19, am I one of the only ones who think we are in a REALLY good spot moving forward? With opening $ space, no reason we can't top up and try poach guys like LDU/Trac and potentially some KPP depth.
Houston is an upgrade on Noble in the same way Jolly was an upgrade on Fraser.
Hahahaha this forum went from high to one pick being traded as well and OH ITS BULLCRAP!!...
This is seriously such a strange group
Could never boo The Right Hon. JFNI sincerely hope there are no Pie supporters who boo Richards & Noble when they play against us.
They should get a standing ovation.
Kane taking the news well
It happened with Ball Jolley and Leroy
It happened with Mitchell
The second Houston signs on the dotted line it will happen again. This bloke is an absolute gun.
Collingwood 2025 Premiers
You forget to automatically add 7mths onto Houston’s age to give the impression he’s already 28 yrs old today like the handful of naysayers are.Our 23-29 age group will now stand at
Beau - 23
Bobby, IQ - 24
Perryman, Jaicos - 25
Schultz, Lipinski - 26

I think some people are forgetting how painful it was watching the ball be stuck in our back 50 for large stretches of time this year. Are you sure about this? He's a back to back AA, literally one of the top 2-3 kicks in the entire comp and has an incredible intercept game which we have COMPLETELY lacked for awhile now.
Just because he plays at PA and we may not get to see him much in VIC, he is an absolute standout across half back. His influence at the MCG will be unparalleled imo
Kane taking the news well
Just putting it out there. We are going to lose a lot of experience after 2025. If we can sneak one more in somehow, I’ll be wrapped and if we disappear so be it. Hopefully not for long but with the tassie side coming in, we haven’t timed it well.Disappear where? Maybe we lose Sidey, Pendles, Elliott, Michell, Howe and Cox over next 2 seasons. I may have missed someone but I believe our list is not completely falling off a cliff with some smart acquisitions like Houston, Perryman and even Schultz (I know...). Key position depth is a slight worry.
Really?Yep
Hefty price to pay for a bloke who is basically an upgrade on John Noble
All we need to do to achieve that is move to a beachside town, not sure Smith was at the start of his career but I know what you mean with the othersPersonally I’d rather the Cats approach though.
Getting players like Bruhn, Henry, Smith etc at the start of their careers, once they have proven themselves at the level, rather than the end.
I sincerely hope there are no Pie supporters who boo Richards & Noble when they play against us.
They should get a standing ovation.
Hahahaha
Unless you're Brian Blessed. Is very bad table manners.
All the chips are in for 2025. Houston and Perryman great additions.
I always liked Noble but he’s fringe.
Richards has a lot of upside and should go well at Port without being a star.
Now to find a cheap experienced key defender.
Also find a Hine special late pick gem.
Also swap and bank some 2nd and 3rd rounders for next year.
Also need some 2023 form to return to several players who had regressed in 2024. Buckle up people, throwing everything including the kitchen sink at season 2025!
