After a shock twist on Monday night, the Dan Houston to Collingwood trade is in serious jeopardy.t.co

The Power are pushing to secure another late-round selection before agreeing to the deal that would see Houston and pick 58 head to the Pies, with the Suns receiving John Noble, two future first-rounders – one each from Port Adelaide and Collingwood – and the No.39 selection this year.
you can run it through all the channels you want but in the end it is what you gain and what you lose - if the deal is approached any other way then you are just kidding yourself to justify the way you ended up with the outcome. Our initial request was reported 13 , 23 and 29 for F1 and Noble . Can't see why they would not get 13 and 29 for F1 and Noble when he is contracted . Look how Richmond is approaching their trade. No that's how you've chosen to break it down.
They're trying to do it as a 3 way deal because they can't balance it as a series of 2 way deals.
Technically speaking gc still have 6 and 23. They have neither formalised the trade nor have it approved by AFL. They can easily tell Richmond they have to amend their deal to sort out a more complex trade. It would have been nice to keep pick 36, but realistically, still a long shot to get a good player out of it.
I wouldn't be giving Port anything more.
Still can't believe GC rolled over and gave Richmond 6 and 23.
That’s the one I was referring to TD cheersIt says what Port wanted Extra:
also you guys should be getting luko for F2 if you’re taking on the full salaryYea I've been thinking the same on the Rioli one it's Dimma doing Richmond a solid. Should be AFL intervention tbh he's clearly not worth pick 6 let alone sweeteners.
I think it's about more than just footy. They are trying to create a second base in Darwin - they're getting a good player who is NT royalty. And not only fans, they'll be trying to make themselves a go home venue for Aboriginal players with NT roots.Yea I've been thinking the same on the Rioli one it's Dimma doing Richmond a solid. Should be AFL intervention tbh he's clearly not worth pick 6 let alone sweeteners.
We literally have nothing else of value to giveIt would have been nice to keep pick 36, but realistically, still a long shot to get a good player out of it.

Rich can go and F right off, they will end up with more 1st rounders than I've had hot dinners, granted the ar## is falling out of their playing list.Port prob want 23, so maybe see if Rich take 29 instead, and swap.
We did get 13 and 29 for F1 and Noble.you can run it through all the channels you want but in the end it is what you gain and what you lose - if the deal is approached any other way then you are just kidding yourself to justify the way you ended up with the outcome. They been saying that all Trade Period that other team get HoustonPort can't trade Houston to North without his permission. I doubt it's forthcoming. Stupid Ralph.
GC swap 29 to 23 and the deal gets done. Port can swap over 36 for 39 in the previously proposed deal.
Richmond have cheek asking for anything more than 6. They take 6 and 29. It's way overs.
GC can have 58 if they're so desperate for points.
I'd be happy with Hayes getting a train on spot over the pre season, if his knee and foot are ok and he has some of what he showed back in 2022 before he tore his ACL then he'll be very handy depth for us at worst, with some chance of being better than that.Possibly as DFA for hayes or a train on
Yes, and Morris was pretty strong today that he doesn't want to go to North. They can’t trade Houston to North without his permission though.
