I love how there’s been all this talk about how incredible and deep this draft is and yet everyone is trading their way out of it lol
If someone is trading out then someone is also trading in.

Feeling like Port realised how potentially strong they were helping to make us by adding Houston to our line up.

If only Port realised we are not threat to them. They choke themselves in finals.
They’ve known that since we have been involved in trade discussions. This is purely about the price not being right (which it isn’t).

I used to think Edmund wasn't too bad but this past week hes shown what piece of excrement he really is

Likewise. I think through the year when he has time to think about what he's reporting, he's not too bad. It's like the rush of blood in the trade period to be first makes him trip up a bit. His bias towards Carlton (and in turn, his bias against Carlton's rivals) starts to show a little.

Just needed to nominate a club like every other players does that eventually gets to that club ( some exceptions but rare)!

The openness has caused confusion.
I don't think so. It's just given the nutters in the media something to cling to.

Dan clearly is fully intent on going to the Pies and clearly has no intention of going to the roos.

I doubt that there is any confusion behind the scenes.

Edmund: “he’s not going back to Port, he’s not going to North and he somehow gets to Collingwood*”

Corn: sharp intake of breath and tongue bitten off

Corn just doesn’t want him at Collingwood and if this gets done I would be so tempted to create an X account just to troll him. Flog.

*paraphrasing.

Ego and jealousy of Coll would be most fervently entrenched amongst the board members - they want to see us get screwed on all issues.

Therefore it’s not surprising the List managers recommendation was rejected as not enough.
Still shitty about prison bars jumper....

The fact that we crush Port every time we play them probably isn’t helping our trade plans. Sore losers with long memories.

I like how Gary Lyon is considering Noble and Richards to be “fringe players”. Clubs don’t offer 3 or 4 year contracts to players they consider outside their best 23.

Port are old school. And their fans are more rabid than us.
It’s such a weird dynamic! If they were in the Victorian market they’d be as small a fish as GWS, but their fans are the most impatient and unhinged in the league. Lucky fans don’t run clubs or some on here would have had us pull out of negotiations yesterday…

Has Cornes given his reasons for blocking the Houston trade? I'm not sure how club can deal with Port negotiators when the final decision maker isn't in the room.
