Blues will blow away 2 drafts (this one and next) in order to achieve Houston.

Yet they hold pick 12 in what is considered the strongest of the 3 drafts.

If we could only pick one Schultz or Huston?

Also both Riley and Cal mentioned Suns don't want to give pick 23 as well, how would we get the Houston deal done with pick 13 + Joe Richards?

They’ll still have their first rounder for this year which is 12

11 or 13 (assuming 11 is the same deal as 13).
Is F1 + F2.....to do this, they need to move 34 into another F2 (via Dons apparently).

So they now how 11,12 and mid 50's picks.
Mid 50's will go on their F/S twins.

So one of those first (lets say 12) goes to Port.....but they'll need another pick.

So 11 would need to be split to get what port want (which is probs a pick in 20's).

Hence, they've largely walked out of next year and moved out of round one into mid / late F2 this year.

On no world is Rioli worth pick 6 at all. A fair but would have to come back to the suns

Richmond hold a heap of matching points. The Rioli deal is likely to involve a heap of picks switching hands.

It is relevant as it’s the club we are dealing with

Whether we swap Noble/F1 for 13/23 or 13/29 is largely irrelevant to whether Rioli is 'worth' pick 6 or not.

It only becomes relevant if Gold Coast considers Rioli to be worth picks 6 and 13, which doesn't seem to be the case.

I'm happy either way. We're ahead with Perryman. Perryman in for Noble and then some kids in the draft is still a good outcome. I'd prefer Perryman and Houston though.

Agreed, whilst Houston would be a massive get it's not the end of the world of we miss out.

If we assume for a moment that we DON'T land Houston, what trade for Noble are we happy to accept? Pick 13 with something back the other way? Pick 23 with a cherry on top?

I’m still reeling from trading a future second for bobby hill.

To be fair we have the odd win on speculative picks. But was Bobby Hill worth anymore then? Less than a goal a game small forward who had missed 12 months with cancer. He has been amazing for us and it’s great to see him seemingly going really well off the field too.

Darcy Cameron for a 4th rounder was a win as well. These are the trades we need to be looking for, guys that fill a role and need opportunities
