Nope. We get it wrong in Australia. What we often call crays are usually rock lobsters. If,
  • You caught it in salt water and it has no claws… It is a rock lobster
  • You caught it in salt water and it has claws… It is a lobster
  • You caught it in freshwater and it has claws… It is a crayfish.
Thank you Jacques Cousteau.

I trust Glenn McFarlane as a journo. He has been in footy a long, long time and if he says it is happening tomorrow, the lock it in!!!

My brother Olaf is a mad Demons fan with a mate in the Demon's coterie. The suggestion from those in the know at Melbourne is that Petracca will get to Collingwood at the end of 2025 season...

The thought of Perryman, Houston and, perhaps, one other at Magpieland in 2025 makes me very keen for next year... we are being aggressive and thoughtful in the trade window.

I would suggest Tomlinson will be added before 2025 as well

Floreat Pica.
As salivating as this sounds how the hell will we afford petracca if we are trading out our future first again?

I am more curious as to why the hawks and the eagles haven't completed the barrass deal. I wouldn't be surprised if they are holding off on announcing any deal until the houston deal has been completed.
They seem to be a long way apart on the deal. Eagles can just keep him.

I'm looking to replace Cox next year as well. Not because he isnt best 22 but I'd like to find someone who can offer more pressure in the F50 and ruck 20%.
I think the club takes a look at how Steene and Smit look this coming year in the VFL, and if they can reasonably project one of them as getting to AFL level, they'll stick with that, and if not, they might look at a Darcy Cameron-type trade.

Maybe they pick up Jack Hayes as a stop-gap in the meantime.

Treloar? Younger but worse. High disposal goal-kicking midfielder, and he cost us two first round picks.

I don't think Ads was his calibre to be honest. Struggling for a comparison in recent times
I couldn’t think of someone… Clement?

In: Clement , Holland pick 22
Out: pick 8 ( Daniel Motlop) pick 39 ( Adam McPhee).

Great trade!

Buckley would be the last player we've traded in that was better than Houston

What makes people think the trade will happen today? The AFL have been waiting for a blockbuster trade like this for years. They'll milk this for all its worth and will make it go down to the last 5 minutes.

I had the same thought process as you, but then some others pointed out something that makes sense.

The Houston trade has way too many ramifications tied to it as well as other trades relying on it with picks and such.

It can't really wait until the last day to go through, it screws over waaaaay too many other teams and trades.

It should be going through either today or over the weekend/Monday

Great trade!
That trade was actually significantly more complicated than that, because it was tied in with Mal Michael leaving the club and Jarrad Molloy coming in, and that pick #8 ended up in the hands of North Melbourne, so there was a lot of moving parts.

Oh wow, didn’t realise. I loved Clement was my fav player !

Can't see Houston happening today because it has too many clicks coming for it.

But they'll have to release one of the ones that has been lodged, just to keep interest rolling into next week!
Tuesday afternoon be the Earliest

I feel like Clement improved significantly as a Pie, and wasn't at that level as a Docker (thankfully, otherwise it would have cost an arm and a leg to nab him!).

This is where I think I'm coming to as well.
