Massive loss for corowa at this time with ryan leaving, seems strange that 'work commitments' have been the reason at this stage in a season, whats this referring to?

Signed on to play with Balwyn in the EFL. Never shy of throwing the $$ around are the Tigers. Wonder how long they have been after him?? Will see how he goes next week when Balwyn travel to Vermont.

I suppose it can be considered "work commitments", balwyn throw around better match payments than an average wage weekly wage! corowa wouldnt be able to compete, they'd be shattered.

A real serious question here is what is going to become of Myrtleford ?

To be smashed by the second bottom team by that much shows a huge gap between top, middle and bottom.

Also to go goaless in both senior grades and only 2 from their "hopefull" alpine eagles.

They are in serious strife ! What is the answer ?? Has anyone got any solotuions to the "bye" if they fold ??
:eek::eek::eek:

It's really not too good. Wonder what the powers to be at the O&M are thinking. Are there players backing up and playing 2 games on the same day? You'd think the future of the club hangs in the balance. A real shame. You hope the fortunes do finally turn at some stage.

Here come the Hoppers.
Another 4 points tucked away for the boys at Hopper Park.
But can someone explain a couple of things I found very strange at the game y'day.
1. A. Butler went into the game under an injury cloud, there is a bye next week which he could have benefited from. but he plays and is out of the game by midway thru first quarter and his direct opponent Dan "The Man" Leslie puts in another blinder?
2. K. Bahr getting a game at senior level. C'mon Kerry has been a great servant of OM footy, but from a club that bangs on about its young players and how much they do for them in exposing them to senior footy when they get the chance, this surely is a case of mixed messages.

Radio war

Did anyone hear the dust up on OAK FM at the Yarra Vs Albury game. Was there and a bloke who boasted "... I know a f..king lot about Yarra", came out load across air. Sure he needs to be disciplined for these gutter comments. It was two employees from the station that got heated.

Spargo the slagger

Also at the Yarra/ Albury game, interesting address from Paul Spargo at three quarter time, when he instructed his players to hit the man at every opportunity.

A BIG DISGRACE FOR GRASS ROOTS FOOTY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets get to the big issues - ugliest bloke at each club, hottest netballer and best watering hole in each town.[/quote]

Josh Hillary - Albury

S. Tyrell and the Bourke Girls at Yarrawonga

Lavi Sports Club Bar:cool:

Yeah their seconds started with 16 on the ground (we did the right thing and started with 16 too) then some thirds kids came and doubled up.
It was intereseting to see the number of yellow socks (alpine eagles) in both firsts and seconds, plenty of them, they are really struggling !

Your right not much hope for Myrtleford.May need to move to O and King league. Bring in Wagga Tigers. Yes a fair bit of travel for them but not as much as when thay played in the ACT league a while back.

He played against us on Saturday, did couple nice things but was beaten easy on the day, the boy is up himself our players saying after the game who was that ******** no 22, might find it bit harder on the smaller grounds in the EFL, BUT HE IS PLAYING IN A $300,000 SIDE.

You would expect some sort of announcement be made prior to the end of the season on the future of the MFNC & the make up of the O&M for 2010. They will only go with 10 clubs, not 9.
The O&M don't like the drubbings and Im sure they don't want to see the same next year.

No one likes seeing teams belted by 25 + goals each week and now being held goalless. You take your hat to the guys that have stuck around through it all. They need numbers and more numbers and maybe some locals to return. Can you imagine if the likes of A Carey, B Murray, S McKee returned.

Was this meant in the context of belting blokes or making body contact at every opportunity?

Saw something about it in this weeks Critic. Costs a one of payment of $15. However has no details on how you access it. Don't know if they'll do the interleague game.

That's a bit rich i would think considering that the VAFA do it in Melbourne to all listed players at all clubs across their 7 Grades and I imagine the Clubbies and U/19's also for free.

However it must be mentioned that Boags Draught does attach a little note to the end of the message, so there is sponsorship associated. Maybe the O&M could look into something similar as it is widely appreciated down here.
