Muller staying at Raiders. Another issue for the season that hasn't been spoken about will be umpire numbers. Already quite low, a positive case on a Thursday night could have massive ramifications for the O&M and work down. We may see club umpires doing all three games at times in 2022

Very good point. Club Umpires may be common in reserves and under 18’s.

Gibbons from Yarrawonga would begs to differ.
Fair point, I forgot about gibbons

Can someone explain how Brodie filo is a 3 pointer, coming from Eaglehawk, he had to be a minimum 4 points, plus his his transfers from raiders, to Eaglehawk and now to Rovers equates to another point, meaning his an extra point, you'd hope that clubs protest if he's a 3 pointer, ruins the integrity of having a points system

Webb last played AFL in 2019, that would mean he's a 6 point player, as he played AFL in the last 3 seasons
Filo 5
The 4 recruits, 2 from East point and 2 Melbourne are 4
Bryant 3
Roos 3 or 4?

That's 33 points from 8 players, how do you fit 14 players into 11 points?

Did they sign Bowles too?

Where did Matt Jones go? He was a very good player. Anyone hearing a couple of Albury based clubs are struggling for numbers?

Would Rovers even fit him in now with points? and heard North Albury are struggling for numbers again, it's hard to see where their improvement is going to come from. Worrying signs for that club.

Could this be the closest season we have seen for a long time.
Albury have been quiet but are still a great side.
Wangaratta will be huge again
Yarrawonga with players coming back from injury and adding Gibbons who could easily win the medal plus a few others will be pretty exciting to watch.
Myrtleford look better than last year with the addition of Curtis.
Rovers will still be up there and Lavington still have some very good players.
Wodonga have recruited heavily but it could just be the wrong year to go all out.
That’s 7 really good sides who all have claims on a top 5 spot. Pretty hard to pick which makes for a good season.

I don’t think Lavi and Wodonga will get close to the top 5. Personally feel there is a massive difference between the top 5 and bottom 5. Raiders and North Albury could get some monumental beltings this year. The top 5 and finals will be red hot though. Will come down to who puts it together when it matters

Rovers/Cresswell seem to want to stockpile as many guys as they can, Saints have done something similar while the Magpies look very stable & seem to have more faith in their local base. Be an interesting Comp to follow.
