Great people =/= great coaches.“Great people in the right roles”. ****, that’s a laugh.
The club has three teams and three senior coaches, and at least two of them have no business being in that role.
That’s not a great start.
Team is the group of players on the field, club is admin/coaching staff and everyone else that contributes to the team.

Got my answer and yep, they don't want a board full of footballers which is understandable. For me, the biggest question I want to ask MR is when will the PAFC become member controlled once again.
What about the buses?Got my answer and yep, they don't want a board full of footballers which is understandable.
Just means as a membership base that we have no power or influence over the board. It's a completely corporate approach with tokenism to members with 2 selections.
The only power you have is your membership renewal which is diminishing considering the number of current numbers resigning.
The good news is that our debt is now below $2 million and more announcements to be made about further redevelopment of Alberton Oval.
No one asked about Ken's coaching or our current record against other top tier teams.
No announcements, no one asked. It was an open forum if you wanted to ask on the night. Just attend the next one. What about the buses?

Has there ever been a time where both of the member elected board members were ex footballersEven that answer reeks of disrespect.
I’ve previously voted for Colin Firth and another fella from an impressive business background whose name I can’t remember.
And wasn’t Kathy Nagle member-elected?
But nah, we’re all mouthbreathing morons who’d elect Nathan Lonie over Kim Williams if they were on the ballot, aren’t we Richo?
What a dud.
He’s terrified of Tredders. Which is understandable.Got my answer and yep, they don't want a board full of footballers which is understandable.

So once in what 10 year period?Off the top of my head, Abernethy and Wakelin?
Ah yes, this is what happens at the other member owned clubs. What a ****ing disingenious dickhead. Like it matters if they are all ex footballers. You can be an ex footballer with business backgrounds. Plus, what he said is just another insult at the members he views as plebeians.Got my answer and yep, they don't want a board full of footballers which is understandable.

No one in the room shared my concerns so unfortunately, we are going to have to just deal with the fact that members will not have a say in the direction of the club. Also, don't we exist in a league where the majority of clubs have member elected boards? Are any of those boards full of ex footballers? Why do we need to be a clear outlier and exception?

The CEO dinner is the only open forum you have with the club to raise your concerns publically. But respect the forum if you go.
