Is there a reason why the skateboarding seems to just be them doing one trick?

To an extent. Speed climbing against an opponent. And bouldering, trying to solve a climb in a set time frame.

Was very watchable and pretty intense.

Can you whack an opponent?

It's not even impressive when they don't crash.

How is this an Olympic sport?!

It's just a bunch of little kids running around.

I wanted to like it but it's pretty low skills with heaps of errors by 14yos

Nah I’m done I reckon there will be a lot of kids down the local skate parks who’ll be saying I’m better than them

The one thing I remember fondly from the Tokyo skateboarding, was the camaraderie between the skaters. They were all getting around anyone who ****ed up, consoling each other, celebrating together, regardless of nationality.

Was pretty refreshing.

Thats fine. The private school rowing teams are on now. Hopefully you enjoy them.

Park is where it's at. Street is more the technical side.

Could watch the hockey. Good team sport that Australia is actually pretty good at and doesn't get a lot of exposure aside from now.

We get it boomer, kids these days are all criminals and all of them could do with a good clip around the ears.

There's so many olympic sports for the rich kids, it's good to see some for regular folk.

Not everyone has a horse, a gun or a ribbon lol

I'm interested for the novelty factor but have no idea how it is considered a sport let alone being part of the Olympics
