I just would like to know why he thinks it ok to have an avatar of a players partner but I should change mine of Tex and WalshyI don't know maybe Mahlepi is embarrassed
Crows traded down thinking cockatoo would be available, didn't think he would crack the top ten. Tried to save face after by claiming they wanted lever the whole timeConsidering geelong traded last year to go up in the draft a few spots (IIRC) they obviously valued getting cockatoo.

What?Crows traded down thinking cockatoo would be available, didn't think he would crack the top ten. Tried to save face after by claiming they wanted lever the whole time
Haha what BS!Crows traded down thinking cockatoo would be available, didn't think he would crack the top ten. Tried to save face after by claiming they wanted lever the whole time
Crows had lever real high but knew other clubs were scared off.Haha what BS!
The Dees even had him rated third. They would have taken him next even if the pick was Top 10Crows had lever real high but knew other clubs were scared off.
Lever always the target.
I reckon first rounder both years is enough.2 top 10 picks and a good player would get the deal done imo, would wish him well and win -win for both clubs.

I agree lever was touted as number 1 pick before he did his knee, he captained vic metro as an under age player, and crows needed another quality backman. Lever was the man all alongCrows had lever real high but knew other clubs were scared off.
Lever always the target.
You mean a two time premiership player who we traded to make salary cap room for you guessed it. Comparing Cocky to Travis hahah
Oh but it did create cap space. Varcoe was upwards of 500k as a premiership player. Clark is on a heavily performance based contract (hasn't done much of that in 2015 btw) which would be lucky to be 300k.Just pointing out the flaw in the argument that the Cats wouldn't entertain the thought of trading a player purely because you gave them the #5 guernsey.
And trading Varcoe didn't free up any salary cap room for Dangerfield, he was traded out to bring Mitch Clark in who would no doubt be on as much, if not more coin than Travis.
Re-read the first two words of your post.Caroline Wilson just saying that PD wants Adelaide to accept the compensation and NOT force a trade....in contrast to what some posters are saying here.
Well it's lucky PD isn't in charge of our recruiting department then!Caroline Wilson just saying that PD wants Adelaide to accept the compensation and NOT force a trade....in contrast to what some posters are saying here.

Cant see a player being chucked in, we have to many spots to fill as it is. Gregson signed for a couple years during the year with Cockatoo, this years and next years first rounders will get it done.I reckon first rounder both years is enough.
You get 10 ish instead of 16ish plus a first rounder next year.
Maybe a player like gregson could be thrown in.

They claimed outside run was their priority going into the draft. Cockatoo was a bolter, no one quite knew where he would land
Lever was touted as a possible top 10 selection, only slid a little due to his knee reco, so they're more than happy with how it has worked out
